the 2nd vid is a dreadnought guitar. be forewarned however, if you've never played that kind of guitar, you better test it first. dreadnaught has huge bodies and thin necks. some people may find it uncomfortable(me included).

rm300++ can get you a decent dreadnaught.

the 1st is classical(nylon strings) and 3rd is a grand concert(steel strings).

all of these are acoustics, btw.

but the dreadnoughts produce the best sound (my taste) then all of the other bodies. Rich in bass, loud enough.

TS, why not just settle for a kapok?

Dreadnoughts usually don't sound as good as Grand Auditorium models in finger picking IMHO.
I personally prefer Grand Auditorium models, is bass is almost as powerful as dreadnoughts but it doesn't drown the high notes which shimmers very nicely.
But then again it might be because the GA model I tested was a Taylor 414ce so....

oh ya, fingerpickers like Auditorium and concert shapes more. Strummers and flatpickers love dreadnoughts and jumbos. I don't know why.
but my taste will still be a dreadnought after comparing Taylor 300 series

yeah, i don't deny that. but to me, comfortability is more important. i can't even play 1 song without any mistake on a dreadnaught, even songs that i know by heart. anyway, to each his own icon_rolleyes.gif .

Funnily enough, I'm now enjoying my friend's Nylon stringed classical acoustic. I find it way more comfortable for more technical work now.......
Only use my folk acoustic for "cowboy chord" songs now.

On a side note, I wonder if you guys have seen any decent Gibson acoustic copies besides Epiphones? Like the Hummingbird, Dove, J-45, or Grand Jumbo copies.

there's one shop in Subang USJ that were selling Gibson copys, especially the jumbos with the misai at the bridge. It sure looked stunning but after having the guitar neck in my hands, I didn't even bother to play a single note because the neck was horrible. I feel the frets and imagine sliding...ouch. The sales person kept saying it's AAA wood lah, but no matter how good a guitar can sound, if you feel uncomfortable with it, just leave it.

That's a pity. I played an SX acoustic that looks a bit like the J-45 but also it was in a very very bad condition. I would have bought it if it wasn't so beat up , because it's kinda cheap.
