QUOTE(Boldnut @ Dec 5 2010, 03:15 PM) Hey guys is this board worth getting? M4A89GTD PRO/USB3 http://www.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=eCWb...W0IV&templete=2plan to get it and get a tri core 440/445 AMD to unlock. yes but to do unlockin on propus/deneb usin a 890gx board is way too overkilled. lower end like 870/880 boards can do equally well. 890gx deserves a 1055t at least.

Well I need a multi-GPU board at first. 870/880 isnt gonna offer that. 890Gx have a onboard gfx card that I can hang on temporary + slap a cheap amd3 tri core until the radeon price drop so are the x6 phenom to drop. I am still trying to balance out the cost and maximize the money spend. I am still looking to best Price/performance/upgrade path. I Still undecided yet This post has been edited by Boldnut: Dec 5 2010, 04:26 PM

I Still undecided yet some 880g (w igp) & 870 boards support crossfire too thou some of 'em are not from asus. fyi, i'm runnin 5750 cf on my asus m4a88td-v evo /usb3.

Also taking overclocking into consideration too. EDIT: Your choice of mobo seems reasonable, might worth considering, but only problem is the second pcie 16 is @ x4 mode, I am not too sure if it is enough for future high performance gfx card. QUOTE(egorain @ Apr 2 2011, 09:17 PM) Mine also Asus M4a88td-V Evo/Usb3, I'm running 2 Gecube HD3870XT crossfire at Win7 Ultimate, even this board is x16@x4, but seems performance is not bad, I didn't O.C them, but playing like Supreme Commander, Tales Of Valor & FIFA11 u can feel the different, more smooth and more than enough. If running x8@x8 is more better a bit, but what can I say? Indeed it's a nice board! wow,3870 xfire~~hard to see this setting now~~y dun u change to single card?save more energy, save the earth~~

But the system running so stable. That is normal for NB, or you can reset the NB heatsink & put a new thermal paste.
