Oh hell... now this thread has morphed into a celebrity bashing thread.

American Idol, for all its overhyping and glamorous packaging, has produced several prominent singers. Kelly Clarkson has no doubt become a star, while Chris Daughtry is doing quite well too. Sure, there are other idols who didn't quite make it, but generalising those singers as one-hit-wonders is definitely overboard.
