One hits? Not really.

Michelle Branch had two albums + one collaboration as the Wreckers. Then she disappeared to have a baby. Faded, maybe; one hit wonder? You probably ain't listening enough to her.

Vanessa Carlton kind of faded after her first album, hence not many people know her.

How many records or singles? Go wiki. He might not be the best selling artist out there, but he surely ain't a one hit wonder which is the main purpose of this thread. I'm not defending him as a fan, in fact I'm not even his fan; it's just that this thread has surely digressed to the point where random names just pop up just because some members don't know much about a particular artiste, best example being the Greenday one.

William Hung is a pathetic byproduct of capitalism. That, is truly a one-hit-wonder. For all the transient fame and money, he is willing to let other people make fun of him - where's the dignity? Then again, money talks the loudest in this world and he probably has more cash in his pockets than most college students have.

My point is, thanks to local radio a lot of people don't really listen much to anything else, hence giving the idea of one-hit-wonders. Fair enough, a lot of those bands tend to disappear after the first album, but in fact they usually have at least 2 or 3 "hits" before they bite the dust in our local airwaves. Strictly speaking, they should be called one-album-wonders.
