Did you face a bug whereby the WiFi automatically triggers by itself...? This bug is very-very random...like once a month...

Woohoo.... managed to GeoTag photos takan by i780. All you need to do is install GPSToday, then Geotagger. Both are freewares. Below is the link:

Upgraded my ROM to IB1... seems like sucking my batteries pretty fast.  Still can't install TCMP
*
I think the battery is weakening as it is getting "dried" or "old". As for my unit, I don't feel the battery is drying too fast even if I upgraded to the IB1 ROM.

Although TCPMP is free, I still prefer CorePlayer which is having release 1.3.2 as the latest version. Give it a try and you'll love the YouTube plug-in in CorePlayer.

if u hate port splitter, go for Garmin. Works seamlessly with the built-in GPS receiver.

i don't see any harm if u upgrade to the latest IB1 ROM. You can do it urself. Ensure to do proper backup of all ur data. Once flash to new ROM, everything is gone just like when you purchase the i780 way back the first day.

Just ensure you get 2 ORIGINAL Samsung batteries in the box. If not, then it's not the standard package.

mapking 2007 works OK but the screen mat not suitable for mapking 2007. mapking is too old already. better use Garmin MXT or iGo8.

But be prepare to have your spare battery in hand as if you use the GPS, in one hour you will loose 50% battery power already.

hey guys, samsung svc center told me that this is the latest they have. dunno why.

my computer error with usb port make me unable to flash the new version from the net.

dgtel2, how is the resolution of the version IB1? im still trying to use mapking on this i780. but the display are terrible.
*
no changes on resolution for IB1 still 128DPI.
MapKing is not i780-screen-reso-friendly. i ditched MapKing long
time ago. better use Garmin MXT.

a brand new set should be less than RM1K having 2 original batteries as part of the standard package.

Last time I asked, and they told me i780 already discontinued due to Samsung new-released WinMo phones such as Samsung OmniaPro B7320, B7330  hmm.gif

If googled, yes. It's been discontinued.

Anyway, can I check if you know where i can get an extra battery and the desktop charger?
If u're at Klang Valley, you can try Summit USJ or Samsung Service Centre next to Federal Highway (near AVON). I bought the car charger as well as upgrading the firmware over there. Details at http://my.samsungmobile.com/supports/findi...=00000000000003
