My case is simple. Agreement that I signed was not prepared and verified by me but MUCKSIS. I don't want to terminate. I want the product. This is my right. I want my P2P. I want torrent. I want my bandwidth.

QUOTE(bytefreezer @ Mar 21 2008, 11:27 AM)
I'm a very unsatisfied Maxis Wireless Broadband Power Package subscriber. And planning to form up a group people and seek for solution to cancel the service.

To bytefreezer:

Please edit your first comment and change it to "We are very unsatisfied Maxis Wireless Broadband Power / Advance / Basic Package subscriber." And include me in the list. My preference is not cancel the service; from the day we signup we know that we want those unbelievable deal. Therefore, hopefully this tread is for MUCKSIS to provide something as per advertised.
Many Thanks.

For the person who had the guts to vote for "Yes" but no guts to stand out and post the reason why, the reason seems quite simple to me.

To MUCKSIS Cyclone:

Please let your boss know that we're not happy with current situation. Actually, your boss is busy so please help him understand. May be somebody made some wrong setting to your ISP server or network.

The main reason when I signed up was your company claim of a product:
1) Maxis Broadband - The brand name carry bold massage that no other provider dare not to claim.
2) Unlimited - although limited to the package plan, coverage and monthly quota; but the interpretation of the word is unlimited to URLs, Tracker, Size, Duration, Protocol (http / ftp / p2p / vpn etc)
3) Enabling me to browse / download / publish anything at my own premises of my own leisure time. Therefore, if you expecting that I am just doing day to day job that just require 10MB per month, reading company email or download technical specification; well you are wrong.

Your company status is just limited to selling bandwidth, packet getway nothing more and nothing less. Although I am as technically sound on my field, I don't have much interest joining your company or teaching you what should be done.
What is more perplex to me is your ability to provided P2P between 1am to 6pm with not much problem despite of so many of us torrenting. Therefore, I personally ruled out your so called technical problem. I already know your moral problem. What is left now is known as POLICY CRISIS.

Please take this seriously; let your boss know. This is not spam. This is real.

Let me explain about FAIR. Fair is something unbiased, win-win situation or average. In the case of your so called agreement, the interpretation of fair usage is heavily relayed on the concept of throttling each of your customers to benefit your customers (???)

For you dear MUCKSOS, I do not bind any contract to other user (other MBB subscribers). And this is implied vise versa. We have contract between us; we are customers, and you are provider.

Fair for you to layout 3 different plans with different price at different bandwidth. And it is fair for us to select any of them. Fair, right? Ok.

And now, you MUCKSOS are being unfair for not able to provide the allocated plans. Therefore, you already admit this allegation (unwillingly) by the following statements:

1.1 ...Maxis believes that all internet users should be responsible in their usage and how it affects other users ...
1.2 ...the available bandwidth is shared by all customers active at a particular point in time...
1.3 ...If the customer needs a 1:1 service and exclusive access to their bandwidth then the customer will need an internet leased line where there is no contention until the World Wide Web router.
1.4 ...To overcome this biasness, this Policy is in place to ensure all Maxis' customers have a good experience.
1.5 ...Maxis may, from time to time, change this Policy without further notice to its customers. Please visit the Maxis Broadband web page periodically to determine any changes to this Policy

#1.1 What an errrrr. You are telling me that NOW I am responsible for other subscribers? You the one that having short supply AND you asking us to use less for sharing? For your info, my bandwidth has never ever pass over your bandwidth limit.

#1.2 Now you telling me that my Basic Plan is overlapping with unknown subscribers? Bandwidth sharing? I think you need to attend a Bandwidth class in communication.

#1.3 We are not asking 1:1 service. And we perfectly know about that. We want Power Plan:Power Plan, Advance Plan:Advance Plan, Basic Plan:Basic Plan. Fair right? doh.gif

#1.4 You are the bias. shakehead.gif

#1.5 Meant you changing from good to bad? shocking.gif

PS: Your site rarely update such failure or apologies or support.

This is the very first time since I signed up 6 months ago; 100% download speed is achievable. At this particular time, my location (Gombak) is raining with thunderstorm. Very amazing!!! No disconnection!!! Good. And thanks for improvements.

While I'm mention about fairness on the previous section; I, myself must also be fair on my reporting of their service. I don't know how long this could last.

Anyway, this generally proves that is nothing wrong wireless capabilities in transporting data. Presumably that most of the users are currently active on the network; conclude my assumption that:

1 IF they actually have prepared, no troubles.
2 Capping is really not necessary; as long as within per subscribed plan.

Please keep up the service. I'm really hoped this speed can last. rclxms.gif

BBXiong I agreed with you. My previous review based on Basic Plan ONLY. To Jason36, you must understand that today technology is far different from initial Token Ring Network in 1990's. I know; I used VAX/VMS Unix. Therefore, asking any user out-of-network is not very polite. Put it this way, 3 plans (Power, Advance and Basic) are as three-lane highway with 3 different speed limits.

All subscribers are supposed to have their right of allotted speed. If the speed inversely proportional to number of users; bottleneck happened (due to insufficient bandwidth by the provider). Therefore, the issue here is not number of user; the issue is insufficient bandwidth. Not Subscribers But Provider.
