THE CHORONOLOGY:
I register my Maxis Wireless Broadband at KLCC Maxis Centre, with the Power User 3.6Mbps.
At first when i reach home & setup it, it was running at UMTS speed with 3 bar/5 bar as according to its "Maxis Connect" program. Later into the night, it was only running at GPRS 5 bar.
The next day, i call & told them regarding the speed very slow, and they check for me my location. Then they told me that my area is either GPRS or 2G, and she also said usually they don't recommend the "Wireless Package" to those who have no access of 3G in their area. She also told me that i have a 7 days cooling period should i decided to return & ge refund for the product. How nice of her considering the reports of Maxis trobleshooters.
I keep on testing as far as i can stretch the cooling period, the interesting thing was, sometimes i can get HSPDA 2 of 5 bar signal strength. After 5 days if trial, i decided to return it at KLCC Maxis Center. You must also return not only the box but if there's any freebies such DVDR disc must also be return as well.
The cheque, the refund for the activation fee (rm100) will be posted in within 3 months. So currently, i'm using IzziPro which is considerably faster than that. If they could stabilize the speed, it wouldn't have been bad at all.
