someone in a ruling political party who is in charge of higher education has already said that no non-malay will be allowed into uitm, over his dead body........so what do you think?

the borneo bumis are accepted, on sufferance.......go ask the few that are admitted.........

in the peninsula, bumi is taken to mean malay........the borneo natives are an after thought.......facts of life........if you know any borneo native, go ask how they feel.......

not fuzz now, just happens someone made a direct inquiry.....and as demonstrated by the responses, MANY people did not know about the racist policy, although i have made reference to uitm's monoethnic nature many times in the past....

a question like this would have raised the irk of certain people in the past......only lately has the political climate changed, and things like this openly discussed without one being accused of being a something chauvinist......

and it is an open secret where the majority of the 80k unemployed graduates came from....

to a certain political party, it does.......or you are also born yesterday?.....

Added on April 11, 2008, 11:48 pmthat's the jpa scholars....it was originally ONLY for malays.......as before 1999, jpa scholarships were meant for malays only......

lots of people do NOT realise the extend of racial discrimination in msian education.....

and that is an unfair and inaccurate analogy.......smokers are doing a conscious and active act, and hence rightly stated should not be angry when they get lung cancer......the only 'mistake' people like tinsze has, is they were born to the 'wrong' parents......i think she has EVERY right as a citizen and tax payer to be indignant and upset about the blatant institutionalised racial discrimination going on here......

she obviously was NOT aware......i don't know how the application forms are like nowadays, but i would bet it is NOT stated in the forms that certain unis are only for bumis......in fact, i believe application to uitm was NOT through upu in the past, and statistics about enrollments in ipta's did NOT take into account those going into uitm.......all part of covering up the discriminatory practices...

yes i am aware of your stand, and i salute you for that........
