WTH? You donno how to differentiate btw bumiputra and malays? bumiputra means people/son of the soil. Malays are considered as bumiputra. Not all Sabahans and Sarawakians are bumiputras. Only applies for dayaks, kadazandusun and other indigenous ethnic groups!

so called allowed 10 percent non bumis inside... but non of the non-bumis want to enter or allowed to enter...
the ironic thing is.... some of their lecturers are non bumi... local chinese indians are not allowed for their post grad... yet foreigners from middleast, east europe, pakistan are allowed to study there at the expense of our parent's tax $$$ NEP... msia boleh... and if u see the amount if sinful $$ the gov pump there.... u will bang ur head |

it's funny bcoz since its inception in the late 70s, UiTM (or ITM as it was known then) was specifically catered for bumiputera only. the reason was the government wanted to open more and more places in other universities to non-bumi, which we now have about 50-50. i believe this number will eventually be open without any quotas whatsoever, and UiTM is the fall back for the bumiputeras incase the non-bumis dominate all universities.
so what's the fuss all about? and the 100% bumiputera quota is for undergraduate only. they have a number of non-bumi post graduate students, as well as teaching staffs. |
