Introduction of Proton Saga / Iswara

The Proton Saga is the first car produced by Malaysian auto manufacturer Proton, based on the 1983 Mitsubishi Lancer Fiore. It first debuted in September 1985. The first Proton Saga that rolled off the production line was presented to the Malaysian National Museum as a symbol of the beginning of the Malaysian automotive industry.

Since then, the Proton Saga and its variants contributed to most of Proton's sales and revenues. The Saga variants are also popular among Malaysian taxi drivers and operators who need cheap vehicles with good fuel economy. The Saga is currently the longest surviving brand in a line of cars offered by Proton.

Warranty FAQs
1. What makes the warranty contract null and void?
For details, please refer to your PROTON Service Booklet under Section 4 of Warranty and Limitation of Liability. However, PROTON reserves the right of final decision on all warranty claims.

2. What is covered by the warranty?

Subject to terms and conditions, PERUSAHAAN OTOMOBIL NASIONAL BERHAD (referred as PROTON) warrants that any items of the "Basic Warranty and Specific Warranty" of the new vehicle manufactured by and for PROTON shall be free from any defects in materials and workmanship of these warranty covered by new vehicle limited warranty will be repaired or replaced free of charge by any PROTON's authorised distributors or dealers.

Basic Warranty items

The basic warranty items that are any items of the new PROTON vehicle (except the Specific items and the Special transacted items*) are warranted to 24 months or 50,000 kms, whichever comes first.

Specific Warranty items

The specific warranty items listed below are warranted to 12 months or 20,000 kms, whichever comes first.

Special Transacted items*

The concerned manufacturer for Clarion radio cassette and speakers warrant the special transacted items.

3. What are the other types of warranty offered by EON?
Parts Warranty is given to all parts purchased at EON service network for 6 months or 10,000 kms, whichever comes first.

Rust Proofing Warranty is given to all PROTON vehicles, which are treated with anti-rust spray for 6 years from registration date.


4. Can I use my own lubricant/engine oil at EON Service Centre?
Yes. EON will not be responsible for any problem arising from the usage of other brands other than our recommended lubricant/engine oil.

5. Is it important to use genuine parts?

Yes, it is important that you use PROTON genuine parts and accessories.

This will ensure that the original vehicle specifications are maintained and that the replacement parts meet the same high standards as the vehicle original equipments. This will also ensure the vehicle compliance to the government regulations relating to vehicle safety and environmental controls. The use of parts that do not conform to the correct specification may cause damage to the vehicle and could also invalidate the terms of the warranty.

Guy, need ask something on my ride.. Now day when I revving my ride, it got whistle sound. Look like turbo sound but then my ride many ada turbo. And it not aeroplane sound.. Only when in 1st gear and reverse gear only have. What it is actually?

How to check any disconnected vacuum hose? No lost any power and fc still the same. The whistling sound got when the first day i get the car. I had mentioned the problem before but no one help me on last year. When to SC, the sc told me maybe the exhaust piping got hole or what. After check, dun have also. Even I changed the exhaust system already, and it still have. Those sound irritating me..

im facing the same prob as u do.. but for my case, the whistling sound come when i rev above 2.5k rpm.. this happened when i changed whole exhaust system.. but when i send back n check.. the exhaust system is fine n no leaking.. fc wise still normal.. jus tat when rev above that rpm range the sound come.. konon macam turbo lah..

No la. Spray whole bumper where got RM80. I sprayed de is RM80 for lips, and he use another chemical to spray the whole bumper to make my bumper and touch up my bumper. You need to kam ching with the worker lor. First I go, he quote me around Rm200+. Then talk talk, I said want spray lips only. Then talk talk, he touch up for me. PR are very important. Hehe..

By the way, gilbert called them and their said need 2-3 days to done. But yesterday evening my friend go spray his satria, on the spot done for him.

Who bought gear knob from me satisfied or not? Actually black is nicer. My friend bought the black and it look so nice on LMST.

golf GTi is nice and stable but in cornering abit faild...

Nice and stable. but cornering abit failed? Haha.. Actually all 100% stock car condition, is like that. My cousin de golf gti with adjustable suspension, UR and wider tire, can pek corner very good. GOLF GTi very strong and powerful. if you see tom's de VW GTi, more chun. I saw his ride at ampang before.

i actually ordered black color wan but u gave me gun metal.. but the result oso not bad.. quite nice..

not exactly.. cornering is so much than most stock ride cuz its consider a higher performance stock ride.. n alot of nice features in the car.. high safety features!

yea.. now my fren give his new FAST a set of new shoes, skirts, nice farting system.. mayb new sets of coilovers..

but i still love R32.. especially the seats!

Remove the saga word, put skyline lor. Or Lancer. Now day trend, your car stick what name, jao is what car. Stick lancer Evo 9, you automatically get 265bhp. Make sure buy original Lancer Evo word. Fake de no use.
