Yeah.. I follow your way.. Done in 30 minutes.. Here it is...

Just remove one bolt at the banana skin.. No need to cut.. One remove the bolt, it got ngam space for the hose. No need cut anything, the banana skin still can use to black dirt. hehe...

After I done, I was thinking the CAI like whko555... I doubt how it can get cool air since it only got a smaller gap of place?  hmm.gif  hmm.gif
Thank to sky and blackpc. The improvement is. .  I wonder is mentally problem or what. When going up hill or step the gas pedal, will feel the pick up is better...
I saw this at sifu thread. What mean no to face inlet cai hose toward rushing air? I put the inlet at the bumper and it will have rushing air going in.
*
good for you man. The difference should be better fc, provided u drive as usual. By the way, try not to face the hose towards the front. Forget about the rushing air cancelling the vacuum blah, blah, blah... but trust me u dont want to have small stones and sands in your carburettor. Definitely will shorten its lifespan. sweat.gif sweat.gif

What I did was to hang the hose using cable tie to the bumper bracket. Seriously u should consider this move. icon_idea.gif

Now gotta find time to cover and re-spray the hole i created for the funnel earlier. rclxub.gif

Put it anywhere but away from rushing air. icon_rolleyes.gif

i might wanna dismantle my ori CAI n check.. mayb gonna do CAI direct air from bumper.. when i have time.. haha.. but i seen before ppl using sifoo cat CAI n put extra steel mesh n the entrance to prevent dust/stones..
*
i used mosquito net but still stones managed to gather in the carburettor. Best is, use any mesh/net and put the mouth away from rushing air. Now after a month of adjusting the position of the funnel, I can see the carb is free of particles. thumbup.gif

So the best way is put mesh and away from rushing air? Where you put? hehe.
*
i put mosquito net at the oem filter box's mouth, and clamp it together with the CAI hose. The mouth I just hide behind the bumper (left side) beneath the headlamp.

Guy.. Just to tell you, I had install the bonnet lifter just for 20 minutes.. Then remove it to Howie.. cause, it not fit. After install, the hood can't closed properly. You can force it to close, but the hood will abit senget. No matter what brand, it still the same. i wonder why. As I want so much to install that, but too bad it can't nicely fit.

** I had read his installation guide on the spoiler and their installed to me exactly the same. But still can't be close. It seem got something block it..

QUOTE(singchaii @ Mar 30 2008, 01:05 AM)
From what I see, is the bonnet lifter itself which block the hood to close properly.. Or can't said cannot close properly. Should say "It totally can't be closed at all".
*
QUOTE(dopeisgood @ Mar 30 2008, 01:21 AM)
yeah i have seen a few using the bonnet lifter but all cant fit well.. its betta not to fix bonnet lifter
i dun think u can get refund from him.. dat seller doesnt seems reliable..

blackpc, the bonnet lifter already jack-ed up your hood.. The gap between the fender and hood is so big already...
*
with or without the lifter, the gap is like that. If the lifter hit any parts of my bonnet or car, it would have dented already. There's no way i can even close the bonnet if the lifter hits anything.

By the way, up to u guys to agree or not. I myself had some problems installing the lifter in the 1st place, but after few adjustments, finally i can close the hood nicely. icon_rolleyes.gif

Then I guess it fit because the gap lor.. Cause my hood dun have any gap between the fender. Last time I installed, then the gap become like your. That why I remove it...

ahh.. if u say so.. icon_rolleyes.gif
