its not compulsary for u to use MX2... jsut that most ppl wud recommend it as it is very good in terms of performance n easy to get over here....

i used silver based "cap ayam"(no brand) thermal compound with this heat sink,it costs me RM 5. No prob so far.

my temp: 39C on idle 45C-50C on load (overclocked E8200 to 3.50 GHZ) ambient temp:22C

Is lancool k7 and cm690 wide enough to carry this?

Eh guys, How to control my Xigga pwm fans ar? mobo M2A-VM. Plugged in a pwm slot. I tried speedfan. Not working .

never bothered on controlling the fan speed, i just set the speed at max in BIOS...its not that noisy though...

when the s1283 dark night will reach malaysia..the black led fan look so cool.....

guys got a question here.

I'm bothered by the white led lights coz the rig is just next to my bed. Can I just unplug the connector towards the 4 LED to shut off the lights ? No harm right ?

its looks great.. but performance doesnt seem tat impressive to me

ok.. i think my ambient temp abt 29 to 30C (typical malaysian temp)

my processor is intel core 2 quad q9550

im using a cooler master cm690 casing will 6 fans.. 2 intake, 4 exhaust..

my idle temp is 45, 40, 38, 38.. it seems abit high right?

on full load, its 62, 58, 58, 58

btw.. i applied tuniq tx2 heatpaste for this cooler..

also, the fan is running at max at all time.. i din enable the PWM..

isit normal??

i heard theres like alot of problems with the temp reading from a quad core. like need to calibrate the the sensor tis and tat..

can someone help?
