wait.. i think im wrong..

example..

225/50/16
The 225 indicates this tire is 225 millimeters across from the widest point of its outer sidewall to the widest point of its inner sidewall when mounted and measured on a specified width wheel. This measurement is also referred to as the tire's section width.

The 50 indicates that this tire size's sidewall height (from rim to tread) is 50% of its section width. The measurement is the tire's section height, and also referred to as the tire's series, profile or aspect ratio. The higher the number, the taller the sidewall; the lower the number, the lower the sidewall. We know that this tire size's section width is 225mm and that its section height is 50% of 225mm.

Many people like to change sport rim, but actually what is the main purpose to change it?
Just for good looking?

Why i ask this, this is because many people after change the sport rim, the car become no power.
It's true? hmm.gif

For an example stock 14" to 16", 17", 18"

They notice that more bigger the rim more less power the car
. It's true?  hmm.gif
*
the power of the car is same..just that need more power to turn the wheel. biggrin.gif

mainly for cosmetic purpose and to have better rim ..

if normal daily drive wont feel much ...but if u talking bout serious racing then got diff lor

u wan put 17" also can mah..then go for look lor..hahaha...slow slow drive let ppl admirer ur 17"

Then how is your car performance after change from 14" to 15"??
have to do what setting to remain the car performance?

because more power sport car come with more bigger sport rim
so, i thought if change more bigger more powerful

normally sport car come with 17" and 18"

*
Performance still the same while the car when doing corner it better lor. My car max can go 15inch only. Go 16inch, sure no power cause only 1.3. Furthermore my car equipped with ultra racing bar so it improve the car handling alot..

Setting? What setting you want? hehe...

My Waja using 16" only. Cannot afford 17" as the tyre is more xpensive. I prefer to use 16" branded tyre rather than 17" cap ayam. One trick is to choose sportrim that looks bigger, no deepdish or 2 piece design as it would look smaller. icon_idea.gif

I change from 14'inch to 15inch rim because,

- Wan use wider tire (more traction)
- 14inch steel rims is heavier
- Want put bodykit (bodykit without sport rims, it look ah beng and ugly)
*
u damn sure that 14" steel rim is heavier than ur 15" sport rim doh.gif

Thank for your advice
So conclusion bigger rim does not make your car more powerful
It will decrease the power of car?

Because i hear some friends said no matter how big u change just make some setting to the engin
Then the power of car can remain the same

my 1.5GLI stock rim and tire also felt no pick up already, if change...mah... rclxub.gif

Waste money to change it, the car decrease power just for cosmetic purpose?? doh.gif

SPORT rim ?? look sport only not really make the car sport??? sweat.gif
