GTAIV official website updates last friday (it seems like updating every friday....) if u hav a look at the LCPD recruit trailer, u found tht the city is so crowed now. The car driving is felt so heavy now. look carefully u can see there is crack on read too.... things are so real |

rockstar should release the game already before EA buys them out; this is going to be the last good one. EA = mediocrity (or worse). |

although its graphic may not be as good as COD4 but this game can cause serious chaos which none other can! Imagine serious car ramping each other while biker roams like rempit! Shooting the hell out of each other and blowing up all cars running by and ppl walking by!

Anything goes, you can use any tactics you like to kill off the competition. Confined to specific areas of Liberty City to keep the action intense. Team Deathmatch 2-16 (in up to eight teams of two) Same as above, except you're working in teams. It's possible to have up to four people in one car (or helicopter). GTA Race 1-16 Race through the city on predetermined courses in a variety of different vehicle classes. You can pick up weapons en route and use these against your opponents, and you can also swap vehicles if you find a better one during the race. Mafiya Work 2-8 Mafiya boss Petrovic has jobs for you, which he'll describe to you over the phone. Each job is like a simplified mission. Notice in the 'In Vehicle' controls, there is a 'Change Weapon' option by pressing SQUARE... That means we can use more weapons while driving!

For me, the graphics for this game, it does not matter as I know previously, the game has good graphics with large scale map area for gameplay, which is the most important thing. Off the mission and also in-game mission gameplay, which is the huge magnet for me!
Hope the frame-rate wouldnt be a problem as rumors had being going around that the PS3 version suffers a few minor glitches including the frame rate which made this game postponed in the first place. Anyhoo, 1 month remaining.  |

The problem with pre-orders is that they are running out FAST. We might have a hard time getting this day on launch day if you can't get a pre-order. Distributers in the UK are no longer taking pre-orders because there are too many of them!

i dont think they will delay the game further... a lot of gaming magazines have already reviewed the final build and will all be published in their latest issues. doesnt make sense to have reviews available but yet no game in stores! that would be a serious nightmare for R*

I'm not sure if i'll pay THAT much. the max i've paid for a ps3 game so far was rm210 (UT3, when it was really in demand), so i'm hoping it doesnt go over that for just the game. The Special Edition different story |

Usually the game gets shipped early so that the shops get it on time. I heard my shop guy will go out on friday night to get it from the airport himself (they are part of a bigger chain of gamestores in Europe). If the shops wait then they will get the stock on Monday because the couriers don't work on Saturday and Sunday. |

Before getting this game, I might consider
1) Framerates (I can see this game graphic is quite shader-intensive, expecting props like trees, traffic lights will pop-up suddenly if traveling very fast in a vehicle) 2) Loading time (enter/exit buildings loading time no more than 1 minute else it'll be pain in the ass if you're doing a mission that require you go through many buildings) 3) Game ruining glitches (something like preventing you finish a mission) 4) Online connection (had bad experiences in COD4 multiplayer before) |

Chances is quite low i think. Best is get down to lowyat/sungei wang or any nearest game store to see if they provide preorders. Usually if ordered in large quantity, it will arrive faster then single.

Wahh...all the hype on GTA IV. I've also preordered a copy, but now I'm having 2nd tots. Coz I haven't finished Assassin's Creed yet. So having GTA IV when it arrives, sitting there for nothing is a waste, I think.

just got a message from bernard -- he is either getting it on the 29th or the 2nd...2nd....too many days to wait.
Shouldn't a 29th global release be a global release on that day??? we need to find other sources -- you all have another preferable supplier? |

guys, i happened to stop by this gameshop in midvalley (the one next to the food court at the top level) to ask about GTAIV preorder, and the boss (fat chinese dude) said that they will have stock within the next 2-3 days
and they're selling it for RM220. im still highly skeptical... a full 8-9 days ahead of the release date?? i think the guy is just talking bollocks, but erm, anyone here kind enough to drop by that place again on monday or tuesday just to double confirm? |

I find it strange that Playasia.com doesn't even have the exact release date on their website. All I know is that they are releasing early in Poland on the 25th. |

the PS3 games selling at Mid-Valley, One Utama, Bangsar ... definitely is more expensive than others ... GT5P selling for RM220 ... I am not surprise ... I saw they put price tag for other PS3 games at RM250-RM299

Maybe when we're retired, we can wait in front of game shops, and whenever there's a buyer, we tell them to log on to play-asia.com

RM 220 for a PS3 game. Sigh. That's a whole RM 50 more than a newly released AAA game for the PC. Sick. Even half life 2 I bought for RM 170 already felt the sting. It's ridiculous.
