Yeah, forgot to mention that The 6th Day is also a Profile 2.0 title. Looks like very few titles aje that support this feature.

sorry for being a lil' off-topic,
would like to ask sifu2 here:

Are these prices attractive?

Yamaha AV Receiver:
RX-V1800 at RM3700 &
RX-V3800 at RM4950
*
That's cheap, which shop selling at this price? Guess, I'll pester the shop to sell me the RX-V1800 at RM3,700 since they quoted me RM3,750. The RM50 bucks can channel to my Tabung BD. tongue.gif

QUOTE(aiman04 @ Mar 21 2008, 11:54 AM)
Nope. Customs cleared in 20 minutes only from arrival to KLIA.  thumbup.gif

It's Desa Home's prices...

Wondering if the USB input & network connectivity at V3800 worth the price difference.
Any proud owner/s of V3800 here, mind sharing your xp?? wink.gif
*
Ehh ...... really, ar? I was at Desa last week, happened to be in KL for a couple of days, I did ask a guy named Ah Kun, he said RM3,800 best price. Hahaha. Dunno why you got a better price, next time must ajak you go along if I wanna buy something, maybe he sensed that I'm not from KL. tongue.gif

I bought a Audioquest hdmi cable for my brother as it was cheaper than the price in Penang but the Yamaha leh, my friend quoted me RM3,750 lah, maybe b'coz of transportation fees lah since in Penang mar.

The RX-V3800 sounds sebiji like RX-V1800 except for some extra features and more oompph in the power rating, the Burr Brown chip is the same but if you want better sound, get the Denon's 2808 model, it is using a newer Burr Brown chip but the most latest Burr Brown chip is used in Onkyo's 875 series but that one is a lot more expensive than the competition which I think one day Bro RX will buy. tongue.gif

Dolby TrueHD....the AQ must be awesome!!!

I sapu the hd-dvd version from my friend, he sold it to me at RM40. Hahaha. Hard to find ppl in Penang to buy hd-dvd mah ...... so I got the bargaining power. brows.gif

Very good PQ and AQ, just hope to see K-19 on BD one day. Most importantly, titles such as Gladiator, Saving Private Ryan, Star Wars, Jaws, ET, Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park, etc will definitely boost the sales for BD if such titles are released during the holiday season.

Denon 2808 is around RM4,700 like dat. Not cheap but built quality is definitely a notch better than Yammy just that Yammy easier to setup and calibrate.

If use airmail no need to tumpang2... There's no per shipment charge, only per items. You order 1 title same cost as order 10 titles. biggrin.gif

The reason I use priority because I want it fast.  wink.gif

I got the Yammy RX-V1800 for RM3.6k. You guys should push to get that price too.

I guess Bro Aiman must teach me the nego skills ler ...... I ask them 100 times also the same, I can't get it cheaper. Will try other hi-fi shops and see. Any dollars and cents save will mean a lot to me. At least can get a few more BDs mah.

PQ 3.5/AQ 4 (for DD only), no LPCM nor TrueHD there....

Hai ......... Warner always like that one, include DD track aje and Ocean 13 is a good movie mah, should be blessed with at least a PCM track.

Copying to your HDD, ar? Can take a very long time my friend. I rather insert it to the BD player or BD-Rom instead. Not worth wasting your time b'coz masa itu emas. tongue.gif

Audio Quality : 5.1 PCM. 3/5 stars. got a lot of bombing, helicopter scene. quite impressive, but im not jumping my seats though.

This one you gotta ask the BD Camp. They got macam-macam punya audio codecs.

Got lah Bro, try searching for it at the HP Stores. If Penang can find HP W2408, KL sure kacang putih lah. Just the price a little steep, like Megatron has mentioned, better get a 32' inch LCD tv instead of a 24' LCD monitor.

Megatron,

You mean all BD movies at 10% discount from Speedy? Well, earlier they gave 10% discount if order online from their website but then, still expensive lah, cannot match Amazon's fantastic pricing. Even Play-Asia also slightly cheaper than Speedy. I guess business not good so Speedy need to reduce their price.

Cheaper if you got discount voucher lah, if not, no need to say, Amazon is way cheaper than them. Normally ppl will order limited edition games from Play-Asia, Blu-Ray titles from Amazon because when you talk about games, most of the game shops in Malaysia like to goreng the prices especially if the game is a limited edition one. vmad.gif
