You did install the garmin 5.sis but you did not install the garmin files in memory card properly.

Ya, there is some steps u need to follow first b4 u can use it..

some of which i remember..

1. one of the biggest difference is the mass storage size.. real n95 8gb has 8gb space, fake one doesn't even reach 1gb

2. if u already familiar with S60 interface, u'll notice that fake n95 8gb is using S40 instead of S60..

3. camera button doesn't work in fake unit, including the zoom buttons

4. keypad backlight in fake unit is blue instead of white

u can check youtube, lots of vids comparing real n fake ones..

Is there anyway to transfer file from laptop to phone itself withour using the usb cable??
I have tried to use bluetooth but the file will be save inside the inbox and when i open the file it stated file not supported. I would like to place the file into my memory card anyway.

Transfer using bluetooth then save onto your memory card from the inbox (do not open). After that, use the right program to execute it.

i cant do it man...
i press option
inside got open, create msg, send, delete, sort by,move to folder new folder,mark/unmark, help, exit

inside seend only got via infra red and bluetooth
so???

try to open ur pc suite, connect ur phone via bluethooth.. it'll show ur n95 icon in "my computer"..
drag ur file to desire folder in ur phone.

i wan to ask if any1 who update the firmware v30 using NSU? coz i only get v20 when i connect my phone and it say my phone software is up to date. i tot v30 is available in NSU d??

Got the N95 8GB today... and it's awesome.

Mind if I ask something here? May b it sounds stupid and u guys might not understand what am i trying to ask.

About the sliding mechanism...Is it normal for the sliding mechanism to be little bit lose lose, whether it's open or closed? My gadget's sliding mechanism is not as tight as i expect. And the shop fella told me it's normal for all sliding phone. He said if it's too tight, u cant slide the phone wor...

Erm, i am not sure how lose is urs but mine is quite tight for me..

when closed it should be as tight as ever
when slide open, it may have 1 mm play at most.

Now even if i type sms or phone number, i can feeel it's moving...i mean minor movement...it's not that tight...i think is around 0.05mm of movement. Is that normal?

0.05mm is still acceptable la.... dun worry too much

That's what the sales person told me...it's normal if it's not as tight as it suppose to be... May be i am just over worry la... But i believe since we are using slide phone, somehow, one day, it will not as tight as its original condition...

Finally, I am done with my phone contacts...now trying to discover how awesome is this phone... May b will need advice and guides from all the experts in this thread about those software which is good n recommended...
