QUOTE(json0324 @ Mar 12 2008, 12:36 PM) Hi nokia2003, The newer ipods (incl iPhone and iTouch) cannot be charged with those simple 12V to 5V USB car socket to USB adapters .... you'll need a "made for iPod" car charger kit to be able to charge it . Its to do with some signal detection on the USB connector's two inner pins. well...the carkit charger i bought is a two-piece type... the USB cable and the charger to plug into the socket. the strange thing is : 1) i can use the USB cable to sync with PC 2) and i can use the charger to charge my bluetooth earpiece. That's mean both item also no problem.. but then when i plug in iphone to charge..it doesn't work...why ah? is there any known incompatibilit issue or what could be the issues?? PLEASE HELP...i make alot call...everyday without the carkit i'm doomed... Yup.. its an incompatibility for sure between generic 12V to 5V USB socket chargers and the newer iPods and iPhones/iTouches. |

QUOTE(ken_wickedboy @ Mar 12 2008, 01:04 PM) Yeah shipment is always a blow to us. And no i can't launch TTR until i found a fix last night! Something to do with phone's cache. Weird! Thanks! Thanks! I shall try this new IM client. Anyway, Apollo has been discontinued. The creator told me Apollo project was made to discover the possibilities of programming on iPhone. They are working on something else through SDK now. Try MobileChat instead for an IM client. You should be able to find it under community source. of course there's a hack for it ... if you're up to it ..
The schematic to "convert" a generic charger to be iPod CHARGING capable ... just do the following... Solder or jump a 10KOhm resistor between the USB +5V pin and the "Data -" pin, and then do the same for another 10KOhm resistor between the USB GND pin to the "Data+" pin. The reason for it is to mimick a 3.3V into the USB Data+ line and the combo of the 10KOhm resistors jumpered to the relevant pins would do just that. WARNING: You do it at your own risk !! |

well lets just hope devteam keep the jailbreak process under the cover
i hope they will release it after the official release as of now apple still can modify the new firmware to tweak the loopholes in the firmware. This post has been edited by =Hanxz=: Mar 12 2008, 04:47 PM |

Just passing the good news to the community behind them. Don't you want to know that you're all ready for SDK rather than waiting months before a release? Im delighted with the news and you should be more appreciative. |

I appreciate with many ppl out there who are trying to provide many exciting apps for the iPhone. Without them, the iPhone will be stuck with just basic functionalities. See, even apple developers didn't put in the Copy-Paste functions, Bluetooth integration with other phones and even video recording which is sometimes disappointing to say the least.@futobuta They aren't showing off anything. Had to say iPhone is a real crap without these all these hacks and app. I wouldn't have gotten it if installer.app wasnt made.
With installer.app I can import my contact from my existing sim I can play games when im bored. I can record video with this 2.0mp camera I can zoom/set timer/change size on my camera I can customize my theme to the way i want it I can record my voice or a message! I can play with instrument when i got a few beats in my mind I can watch movies on my pc from my bed using my remote touchpad I can forward sms I can copy and paste almost anything I can put a speed dial icon on my springboard! I can exchange files with anyone else that runs a DropCopy I can disable the damn edge thats been eating up my money This post has been edited by ken_wickedboy: Mar 12 2008, 05:34 PM |
