Abit of info for those traveling to LCCT.

Budget taxi rate increased since 1/8/09!! If previously u are enjoying RM53 to/fro Puchong/PJ, expecting RM64.80 now. To KL, previously ~RM6+ now RM74!

Good news fro those from Ipoh, Seremban & Melaka...There are buses to those locations started dunno when..

Check-in saja-lah...Check-in even u can check-in up to 15KG of any shampoo or mineral water

BTW, for local flight, u can bring in those thingy..I save few RM by bringing own mineral water into AA flight. esp local flight. For International, as what mentioned by AEIOU, u can save abit by buying from the departure hall

Check earlier thread..This is the most famous Q&A liao...ticket depending whether you buy promo or non-promo...If promo..It's as good as throwing inside dustbin liao..if the ticket is normal non-promo..yeah u can..There is term & condition posted in AA website...or check earlier posting for the link

Nowadays after AA implemenmt the seat numbering, even u are the 1st to check-in, they will not allocate seats according to your liking unless u pre-book!

I checked in late ~1hr b4 flight in Jul & all 3 of us getting diff seat numbering..Have to bet others in the plane to exchange. I used AA again in Aug & this time I went early..only 5 in line...& they still split us to 3 diff location!! My request to combine was not entertained at all......So those in Family, no choice hv to pre-book seat ..Otherwise kena penalty from AA!

You are lucky..In my case, no matter how i plead, They don't allow..They told me all decided by computer they can't change it unless i pay xtra to combine seats.. & That also I need to goto their AA ticketing counter !!

That's why I said earlier..I regretted not to pre-book earlier!! If I had pre-book earlier, I will not ended in asking favour from nice folks inside the planes to switch seats rather than asking from the unhelpful check-in staff! Furthermore.who knows that by not prebook & coming earlier, we will be splitted anyway...bcos the AA computer system programmed that way to penalise those who dun pre-book their seats!

No-lah dirt cheap RM5 nia...RM25 is for those hot seats 5 front rows & the 2 mid spacious rows.

Check how AA penalizes those who dun pre-book their seat...The advert do the talking LIAO!! THIS IS ON PURPOSE!! Splitting family is their motto for those whon dun pre-book!

Ehhh They can just do a minor tweaks to the programme to enable combining seats for those in family & not to split them. The advertisement by splitting the couple already an obvious example they wanted ppl to pre-book.

So those going on AA...be warned..pls pre-book your seats earlier..otherwise..kena split...It's really uneasy asking passengers to switch place...

Hehe..If u check my past postings..esp on page 1, U will see I'm a true supporter of AA as they do bring budget flights to Malaysian & to Asian overall..but for the past 1yr..abit disappointed wth the following changes:

1) Keep on consolidating flights & changes to the tiome tables...I kena 3 times already starting from Dec'08, My Jul & Aug flights!

2) My favourite 1901 hotdog suddenly change to Air Asia branded hotdogs!!

3) The splitting of family (I think probably I ask them to combine & they purposely split!! If I hv keep mmy mouth shut..probably they will not split us!! - But the check-in counter guy really horrible! - imargine asking me to goto ticketing counter although I'm willing to top up!! - Does not make sense!!)

Other than above, they have done well by the better/expanded LCCT

I normally go for the same zero promotion if possible & normally 6-9 mths in advance! But my upcoming Taiwan trip really a let down!! Booked during MAS promotion...The best ever from MAS..RM780 all-inc fare while AA best offer ~RM770 nett.

Bought and 2-3 days later, AA dropped their Taiwan pricing & on the same date, you can go Taiwan at RM450 nia!!!!!!Me cry liao!!!

Haiyah...I tot I said I bought the MAS ticket at RM780 and 2 days later AA dropped their price from RM770 to RM450..me rugi besar!!

During July AA promotion for Dec 2009 flights. now no more..price go bck to RM790 range....Normally for cheaper AA tickets, u need to choose date >6mth in advance.

changing date only applicable on normal tickets hor, For econo promo & those tickets selling at dirt cheap prices, no changes allowed

Wah no announcement at all..I think they kenot tahan without the admin 7 handling fee liao & quietly impose this convenience fee..nxt probably toilet usage fee?

Well usage of toilet still free at this moment of time..

smuggler in your meal by buying bottled water & sandwitches b4 boarding at the departure hall. Ca liao...when inside the plane dun let AA staff caught u eating outside food.

Or buying the cheapest snacks from the plane but buying water from the departuire hall area..

Certain menu during certian time do have drinks combo but not online booking..U can buy once inside the plane...for eg Nasi lemak + green tea for RM10...(for eg).....sunore the green tea u can refill many times... Worth every $$ u spent.

if like dat just buy inside the plane-lah what so difficult.. ..It will not kill you..still cheaper than u buy Non-budget flight what...

water for sure hv to pay..AA 1 mineral water=RM4..AAX more pricey dunno how much
