it doesn't really matter if you speak chinese, english or even any dialects, sometimes it's just the way they think. I believe that chinese-ed ppl tend to be more traditional & seldom think out of the box. They're forever trapped by certain so called "moral values" and "responsibilities" which I think things can be more flexible as long as you can take the consequences of it. Most of the times, I think these people just can't afford to be "wrong" because of the upbringing and also pressure around them.
I'm not trying to condemn because I'm also considered "half chinese-ed". I know there're certain responsibilities you can't run away from, but you can always improve the situation by adjusting things around & stand firm on it. To put it in another way, some of these people are just very rigid & don't know how to THINK. They do what they're taught to do, follow & stick hard to it.

SIGH~

hmm i'm english ed but i don't find it a problem mixing with other chinese ed ppl.. not all.. i try to speak chinese to them.. and along the way they help me.. i have quite a number of classmates from china.. i find it rather fun trying to slowly pick up the language..

misunderstandings might happen if two people do not speak the same language fluently.. ultimately, it's an individual thing.. so you can't really generalize it

Chinese ed girls, one thing i discovered is that they go by the "chinese unwritten rules". English ed girls tends to be open minded to these things, although not all.

Please note that family upbringing is very important. It affects the way the child thinks. It does not matter if the child is eng ed, or chinese ed, it will more or less affect the thinking of the girl.

Do realise this : chinese ed girls tend to think in the chinese way of life - fengsui, ghost, auspicious or whatever go to do with it (most chinese go this experience i believe), and all the pantang larang thing. Eng ed girls are more "modernise", but due to the influense from the family, they tend to believe in that as well, although they might do in the sake of " better do it than feel sorry later".

Emotional or not, all girls, no matter they edu background is, are emotional. Men are too, just they tend to hide it better than the girls.

She practices Tai Chi
She'd never lose her nerve
She's more than you deserve
She's just far better than me

Hey, hey

So don't bother
I won't die of deception
I promise you won't ever see me cry
Don't feel sorry

And after all I'm glad that I'm not your type
Promise you won't ever see me cry
So don't bother, be unkind

First off I think if this discussion were to have any validity we should divide these girls into age groups first.

Chinese Educated (Private school,SMJK, you name it )

Age group 14-16 (Form 2 - Form 4)

In my personal opinion, which is also in tandem with the views of most forumers who replied here is that those who fall under this category of age and education tends to be more impulsive and rebellious. (Most of the case)
I've been teaching tuition for a few years and most of the students I got from co-ed schools which are SMJKs. Due to the fact that they are exposed to boys early on with their lives in school, they tend to have no problems in being more friendly to strangers and mixing around with boys. Some had gone overboard and went to the extent of having dreamy thoughts of boys in their school for their relationships. I had a few students who were talking about boys 24/7 in their and they were like picking apples (which are the riper ones) to start a relationship with.
But its undeniable that a minority of these girls exhibit a sense of maturity in socializing with the people from opposite sex, as expected because of their early exposure.

Age group 17-25 (Form 5 - University)
Really once when someone grows up, their level of maturity usually goes up with them. Except for some special cases rclxub.gif As for this group I think you all know the answers more than I do. nod.gif

English Educated (Private school,SMKs you name it )

Age group 14-17 (Form 2 - Form 5)
Personally, I hail from a english speaking community and school life so I'd try not to be biased here. Convents are our main issue here as they make up a bulk of the population of the girls in this group. Well, what can I say? Having only girls to be with in their school life and usually going out for functions in school is the only way for them to know boy (friends). Once the friendship starts to kick off, they spend their time with their newfound friend in cinemas, hanging out and eventually maybe becoming a couple. So, the main difference here is between the girls above is that English educated girls do their socializing outside of school with boys. And isn't that what we always do when we're in a date? whistling.gif

As for the rest of the age group, you guys/girls give a shot at it and it'll be interesting to read icon_rolleyes.gif

Not to mention english ed girl is more meterialistic and more arrogant...
Talk is first class, but when comes to work they r third class... They think they r high class and rich but actually alot of them r not... Open minded is good... But not over open-minded... This only make them act like a B*tch...

As for me, chinese ed girls is more suitable to be a wife (Provided both of u have no communication problem or etc)
English ed girl is more suitable as a playmates, for sex, one night stand, clubbing frens etc..

P/S: These apply to most of the english ed girl, BUT NOT ALL OF THEM... Some is still pretty good.... smile.gif
