Hi guys. I just got my glider about over a week ago. Had to part it with the female I bought it with for a friend and ever since it's been crabbing and super pissed with me. Anyway, brought him to visit Jack and Joan at Pet Shack. Yeap, guys, if you're reading this, I'm the weird pierced and tattooed guy with the glider who sleeps by night hugging a chunky of apple (he hates them sliced in small bits) and crabs by day
Still waiting for the bonding pouch to take him about and begin the bonding process.
Anyway, this board has been quite some help to me, so I finally decided to register. Thanks again for all the info guys, and to the duo at Pet Shack, thanks again so much guys - and... I WANT A BONDING POUCH!

My Joey Jr is fine... he's eating and exploring. Started playing with the Wodent Wheel and spending a lot of time in his new pouch, though I suspect he is kinda confused about his favourite coconut disappearing. He's still crabbing. but lesser now, and more of running into the pouch when he sees me. I suspect he's scared I'll take him away because the moment we got home from Pet Shack and I put him back in his cage, he seemed more relaxed.
My sister is pissed with him because the moment she talks to him, he crabs
I'll be dropping by the Shack tomorrow or Tuesday to pick up whatever I can (or possibly beg someone to part with their bonding pouch )

Is this too cramped a cage? My Joey Jr is on his own inside (he still won't eat worms)

Actually apart from the cage (which I got for RM90 in Shah Alam but hard to find so RM95 at Pet Shack is more than fair), and the branches (think it's safe... not sure... isn't it?... cause my Joey Jr loves it even though he's not stable on anything), everything else came from Pet Shack - the sugar glider owner's heaven (sucking up to be first on the list for bonding pouch - cause I'm second at the moment).
As for the worms, yikes! I have to cut the heads off???!!!!
Pengsan lah camni. I may look scary, but am more scared of worms. They're icky! Damn.
But I take it apart from the branches, there is no questionable risk of cramping, which is good.
Will fix the hammock. Thanks for the tips guys!

PS - Looking for another suggie to keep mine company.

Ok ok... I get the picture. I will larn to behead worms and feed my baby with it.
But I draw the line at them eating them off my head. Ugh!
Heh... anyway hope the gath is ASAP cause I would love to meet everyone and see everyone else's babies.

I would love to come - if I knew where his place was. LOL!
Anyway, am pretty sad. Finally got the bonding pouch from Pet Shack (yeay!) and excited to take my Joey about slowly.
Went back, got crabbed at and attacked. Sedih lah like this. He seems crabbier than normal. But it's pretty much mood swings.
Is there any reason for him to be like this?
He's eating normally and no factors agitating him.. so what could it be?
I'm starting to think this is beyond the separation from his female friend I bought him with but was taken back by my friend.
Worried and sad.
By the way, thejamz, aku nih member kata Cina murtad, jadik takyah malu ada geng nak lepak skali jerk. Tuh pun kalao suggie aku nak naik psycho ngan aku agik dalam seminggu dua nih... leh bak kuar.

bonai : i have tried, and he used to be ok before the separation. but since then, he has been super pissed at me. *sigh*
thejamz : maksud aku, aku nih memang cina, tapi aku member aku semua melayu. suggie aku sekor lagik tuh member aku amik. dia melayu, so dia mai kang ada la geng agik. tapi aku memang ada kuarga angkat semua so takyah risau ler kalao ko rasa kurang selesa.
aku rasa lagik kurang selesa sebab aku tak kenai orang sangat.

PS. bonai, jack and joan have met my joey jr and they too have seen how uber pissed he can be. :-(

hehehehe,... maksud aku, aku jerk. tuh member member aku cakap camtuh nak wat camna. rupa je cina, tapi dialect leh cakap hokkien jerk. lain fail. apart from that obviously english la.
so dari skolah bebudak da kata aku ni cina murtad. LOL!

i tried with the glider slurp. he runs away. and when i go nearer, both his front paws go up, like he's ready to kung fu my pinkies!!! i am so afraid of traumatising him because he looks so scared. i seriously think he doesn't trust me anymore since i took the female away. :-( will try some more though.

tried all that but reaction same. he will only feed when i have left the room. but at least he's eating healthy.

da memang beli sepasang tu atas janji sorang satu. and then my friend went on holiday so both bonded with me in that week. very fast.
tapi when my friend came to take the female, the male got all pissed. and has been that way since then.
the female ok jerk... yang joey jr aku je.

bonai - agree. actually not worried about him biting my hand off. just worried i'll traumatise him more. :-(

i will try that. if i can get him out of the cage without emotionally scarring him. :-(
