Shall you decide to pick up the shares, and yes you need to settle the remaining balance within T+3. It just gives you the flexibility not having need to park so much cash in trust and allows you to buy shares. Imagine if you want to utilize the 0.1% rate with fully cash up front, if not enough cash in trust, you need to bank in, then call your dealer, then update, then buy, it would cost you considerable amount of time to do it, by the time, the price that you like may have gone up.
Shall you decide not to pick up, you can sell the share within T+4. So still can trade as per normal |
