Hi guys, Im the a new user for hl e broking service. I dun reli understand something and hope someone can clarify about it.

1) I have read some material about e-broking and dun reli und what is T+3. Is it mean like the payment will be credited from my e-broking acc after 3 days of transactions?  WHat about selling of share? Same applications also? or real time...

2) Take osk as eg. The every transaction fees is RM28 (buy/sell). What is the percentage of broking fee and how to count it?

Thank q.
*
1) T+3 = Transaction + 3 working days, money will be debited/credited to your trust acc after T+3.
2) Brokerage is minimum RM12 or 0.42% of proceed whichever is higher. Need to add stamp duty & clearing fee as well.

R u sure is direct CDS account, if not mistaken opening at HLB branch is nominee account.

U need to register HL Online as well in order to trade, have to use ATM card to generate a TPIN then
goto www.hlb.com.my to register as HL Online user and wait till trading account open you can then click
HLeBroking once u r inside thier eBanking website.

If your friend open under HL Investment Bank then possible is direct account, then just goto
www.hlebroking.com. easiest way to do is call them directly.

hey there, can i know what's the difference btw ledger balance and available balance??

let's say ledger balance shows rm2k, available balance shows rm1k in my trust account.. the max amount i can trade is only rm1k? what if i make an order of 1.8k, will it be done or my order will be auto sell out after T+3?

appreciate your help.. tq!
*
If not mistaken....
Ledger Balance could be your actual balance whereby u might have pending cheque to be cleared or some amount being held (earmark) up for your purchase order.

Available Bal is the amount that is tradable, withdrawable or utilisable...

Think system will prompt an error if order more than 1K during keying in.. so won't get thru.

For shares settlement by when and by how much, we can see from the ecTrade.

But how to see the shares sale proceed in term of $ and timing? and how all sifu ensure the computation is correct?
*
T+1 should give u the settlement amount & same thing apply to sale proceed.

For accuraccy of settlement & proceed, please maintain your own table for all sale & purchase orders to keep track.
This one also serve as cashflow maintaining. tongue.gif

Mind to advise, could we really claim back some portion of the tax being sucked by govment? If so, please advise where can get it back from, i mean through wat methods (or u can redirect me to a page showing this info). Thanks.
*
When you declare your income tax return form, that is where you specify your dividend income and claim back figure. (under HK3 form if not mistaken)

I don't understand what this means under the "Settlement" tab in hle.

Is it something like T+3?

For example I have rm5000 in the account, I buy RM4500 worth of shares, and the acount shows 50% of RM4500 is used up for the trade, does that mean I need to bank in the remaining RM2250 within 3 days or get a margin call?
*
It is T+3 settlement screen.
If you have sufficient amount, it will auto settled. Need not bank in more.

The 50% thingy is your trading limit, it show how much trading available you have diffirent from your balance.
Normally, they give 2X tradable limit from your cash balance.

e.g
Cash balance = RM5000
Trading limit is 2X = 5000 X 2 = RM10000 trading limit.

You can trade up to RM10000 and if you do, then you need to top up addtional RM5000 to make up to RM10000 cash
when T+3 settlement due.

I'm using Windows 7 laptop with IE8 as well. Problem is my screen is blank (white) in ectrade. Doesn't work in http mode either. No yellow bar popping up near the top of browser prompting me to install anything. Pop-up blocker is disabled. What could be the problem?

Where to download this program if possible? Thanks  sad.gif

Something new,

1. Hong Leong seems to be using T+2, i.e. payment must be made before 12am on day "3". I'm not sure about this, I banked in the cash last night before 12am, but till now past 12pm I see the money is not yet settled under the 'Settlement' tab.

2. If I have say RM15,000 in my share a/c and a total of RM14,000 is currently tied up in shares with RM1,000 balance, can I still enter contra trades that exceed the RM1,000?
Nothing that day except a settlement was due and I decided to hold on to a stock past the contra nstead of getting out.

Does that mean when I pay for a stock HL charge misc fees to transfer the cash into the seller's a/c?
*
1. Settlement is done on T+3 after thier banking cycle at night, whatever cross T+3 aka T+4 after 12noon force sell will trigger.

2. You have trading limit of 2X of cash, so should be of no problem to do contra trades but subject to trading limit. Think can ask to raise trading limit, please call them up to find out more.

No charges for transferring cash to account. Shares transfer to other broker, yes, RM10 per stock.
Again call them up to clarify your transactions. nod.gif
