hope they add in goblins for the orks soon jz like in WAR...

Those goblins are call Grotz.

They are currently out of the game now, except as in-game advisor when you play Orks.

What makes people hate DotA was not the game itself, it was due to the players.
*
I dont really like the game too.It gets very one sided when one side is winning.

You should try sins of a solar empire if you wanna feel the full scale of war, where you have a contol of the whole galaxy, then in late game have a whole fleet of your galactic fleet and have full scale space war. That game have quite low requirements I think 6th generation of geforce cards and p4 can play the game.
*
Yeah,Sins's full scale war is fun to play.

Currently playing a 10 hour plus game now.Almost full cap while my rig still manage to run it pretty well. biggrin.gif

I don't mind the similiarities, but I will go berserk and willing to get ban if anyone say that DoW ripped off Starcraft.

Yes, I know Warhammer universe through Starcraft, and I go deeper when DoW came out, getting the facts twisted is just getting on my nerve.
*
No doubt that the Warhammer Universe has more depth too.

Then, there is a Q&A here.I have posted it below.Seems like they are dedicated to support the game well this time. biggrin.gif

You won't need a key for the open beta...you can download it as soon as it is available(28/29th) thumbup.gif

Really?

I heard from Ruined(from THQ) says that there will be beta keys given out from 21 to 28 of January.Probably those are for that one week closed beta then.

Now i just need to download it.The beta comes with AI too. biggrin.gif I still can play DoW2 with dumb AI.

Fast Access to DoW2 Beta.

QUOTE
If you find your interest piqued by our hands-on impressions of the Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II multiplayer beta today and can't wait until the 28th January general release, you might want to clear a block of time this weekend.

That's because THQ has given us 3,000 beta keys to pass on to you, and we'll be doing so on Saturday afternoon at 3pm GMT.

The beta, which is currently open to people who bought Dawn of War expansion Soulstorm, allows you to play as any of the game's four races across five multiplayer maps, with matchmaking courtesy of Games for Windows Live's TrueSkill system.

The full game is due out for PC on 20th February in Europe. Look out for our review in the coming weeks.

If im not wrong, the beta release at 1am,Malaysian time. smile.gif

QUOTE(Waba @ Jan 22 2009, 11:03 AM)
I can chip in some of my thoughts on this.
My experience are from a Space Marine perspective

-It feels different from DOW
-The maps are in a way smaller, fights are brutal
-In a way the units appeared smaller on screen, together with the rich environment you can sort of get lost on the battle field looking for your guys, but it might just be me.
-Units are small in numbers, you cant spam them
-Units have retreat button ala COH, but it seems some units like terminators dont have that button
-Units can only reinforce near HQ or some vehicles like razorback ala COH, but it seems you can reinforce sargents on field
-Commander have vast upgrade options, like force commander can access terminator armor
-Drop pod wont disappear after deployed, provide cover
-Predator available on tier 3 but like paper

Overall even for dow vets the game needs getting use to, but i can see the potential of it being addictive in its own kinda way. Home base seems protected by small amount of turrets which can do little to units like dread n killakan. Simply put multi player will be fast and brutal.
*
Thats what mostly everyone says about DoW2.

Probably need some time to get used to it,just like previous Relic games.

From what i heard from various sources, the games mostly ends within 20 minutes for 3on3.

It's a damn fast game.
