QUOTE(cherroy @ Mar 18 2008, 04:00 PM) Remember last time of emergency rate cut of 0.75%? Market shy-rocketing (DJ up for more than 300 points) after news come out. But after few days or week, faded away. So tonight, US market might take positively about the rate cut, but sustainable or not over the weeks time, don't know liao. It all depend on how US credit crisis play out. But for sure, it would be long 'process' before the crisis finally settle down. Last year August when subprime issue unfold, market sold-off with valid reason, see how Bear Sterns now. It took about 6-7 month before Bear Sterns issue finally unfold Wow.. I just bought KPS at 1.05, 10lots, now already 1.18. I read from investlah.com and got someone recommand this. http://www.investlah.com/forum/index.php?topic=1616.0Buy at your own risk

Lehman, whose shares closed down 19 percent on Monday on concern that it is the most vulnerable to troubled mortgages and leveraged loans next to Bear Stearns (NYSE:BSC - News), is expected to report its quarterly earnings tumbled 63 percent, according to Reuters Estimates.
Goldman Sachs, which in previous quarters succeeded in escaping the worst of the subprime mortgage crisis thanks to some well-timed short bets on subprime debt, is also expected to have run into tougher times over the past few months.
Goldman, Wall Street's top brokerage by market capitalization, is expected to report earnings fell by more than half from the year-ago quarter.
And if Goldman and Lehman earnings weren't enough drama for one day, the market will have another major event to chew on late in the day: Visa Inc's initial public offering, the largest U.S. stock flotation ever.
What you guys think ? I'm worry about the Goldman and Lehman earning result. And Fed will not cut as much as 1%, which is expected b the analyst.

Is good that you missed the boat actually. The market only surge awhile in the morning, then retreat in the afternoon and start recovering abit 1/2 when market about to close. If you buy at the end of the day, you should be earning abit. DJ Futures at -53 probably due to profit taking yesterday. Morgan Stanley beat estimates so I guess today DJIA will not have significant fall or gain. http://www.briefing.com/GeneralContent/Inv...spx?PageId=3270 for information of what company going to announce their earning report. It may help a bit whether to enter market on the next day. This post has been edited by alivecmh: Mar 19 2008, 08:21 PM

QUOTE(low yat 82 @ Mar 20 2008, 11:04 PM) ya meh?? USD Medium Impact Expected Unemployment Claims 378K (actual) 360K (forecast) 356K (previous) That one ppl already reacted to the result just after the market start, the later Philadelphia Fed Manufacturing Index and the Leading Index m/m are up to the analyst expectation, in addition to that, many company earning report also better than expected, which drive the market upwards. Look at the graph, http://finance.yahoo.com/q/bc?s=%5EDJI&t=1d. then u know what i said. This post has been edited by alivecmh: Mar 20 2008, 11:09 PM

DOW most probably close at BIG gain as Existing Home Sales rose 5.03M, must stronger than forecast 4.85M, and also the revised Bear Stearns Deal. But i doubt KLSE will outperform due to political uncertainty.
