QUOTE(kylee700 @ Oct 10 2008, 04:27 PM) My bloody izzi is so damn slow.I just installed it 3 days ago.and the fastest speed i have gotten is 154 kbps!!so much for the 1mb speed that they have been advertising.ish ish ish.i'm currently stayin in mentari courts in PJ.and the BS is in sunway pyramid!!!!i can walk there in 10 minutes and yet the connection is so slow!!!The agent said it is because my apartment faces away from sunway.wth?!supposingly they are setting up another tower in sunway by year end.urgh.dunno can believe anot.i have to suffer this connection for 6 months man.nnnnnnnnooooo!!! Ching wooi said is true... wait till the BS is up and then only subscribe again la. if you asked me before purchasing, i would've told you that its very congested at that area. I tell that to all my customer that is interested in izzi. |

QUOTE(mikeeeee @ Oct 15 2008, 06:36 PM) lately, it felt like izzi is throttling http downloads ... I think you get it wrong.... using izzi speedtest, its referring to local host. while speedtest.net is not local though they are using the same speedtest program.i've got no signal issues and have been downloading with acceptable speeds for a while. out of sudden, all http download is below 20KB/s only where i use to get at least 70KB/s from these server i downloads... at first i thought the line might be bz or watever. But based on my monitoring, it seems thats not the case. And its also confirmed that the server I'm downloading from is not bz. To proof my findings, i did a few speed test just now 1) using izzi speedtest : more than 900kbps download 2) using speedtest.net : below 100kbps download from those figures, I'm sure my signal is not a problem. It's clear that i can get the claimed 1mb connection back to izzi site, but anything other than izzi i'll get 0.1mb connection. The problem is izzi is throttling even HTTP download !!! For example. A highway with 5 lane comes to a toll and after the toll, its 2 lane which would cause a mass of traffic jam. What izzi could do is to make sure that local host are good but they couldn't control outside host. I hope you understand what i am saying... |

It is stated that they provide connection of unlimited usage thus i suppose that means they do not have the right to throttle the speed. However your case, the server may be traffic free. But is your place congested? Cuz places that are congested with users you might not get as high speed though. as for the speedtest with izzi, i do not trust any speedtest. thats why i provide free test run at my customers area before they purchase anything. Right now, for me, i used to get over 900kbps but now i could get around 600-700kbps. however the speed is consistant and i do not do heavy online gaming, so i am happy with my connection.

Hmm... not really that true... the best is that they themselves test the speed so that they would know if they are satisfied or not.

QUOTE(jayoscar @ Nov 20 2008, 09:35 AM) Hi, I am sorry... but i got to say this. "you got to be a real fool..." If your signal is only 10-20%, you should go for a refund at that time of 3 months. Speed with less than 15kbps is even slower than dial up. you got to be kidding. i've never seen such a patient customer before. You are really "One of a kind". Sometimes, don't blame others when oneself didn't do what they should've done. I am sorry if i've hurt you. After the December, i think I'll throw away this PointLess IZZI product. I'ved been using it for a year, but the SPEED never reach over 15kbps/s Alhtough they promise me they will fix it once the new Balakong station have up. But the station only up on Setptember and still NOT even get my signal back to 30%. Everyday also 10-20%. 10000% NOT satisified with their UNPROFFESSIONAL service. |

lol... does it matter if you are a pioneer izzi customer?
My name is Eric. I have nothing to hide. My boss??? that makes me laugh even louder... I already had soo many customer using izzi and they are mostly satisfied. Thats because of my customer service. I myself wouldn't even recommend to my customer if the signal is below 50%. To be frank with you. Try to be smart consumer. Thats all i can say for now. I believe there are other users that supports what i'm saying to your right now. Sorry if i hurt you again. |
