Huhu, another vote for abit, two votes makes gigabyte a bye bye. bye.gif
Well,thats what i think of.
I still don't really know whether it can fight with the TA690G in terms if HTT,Vcore and Vdimm.
Huhu,borong habisssss... tongue.gif
*
how to compare in that case? hmm.gif
that abit AX78 actually is AMD 770 chipset mobo while gigabyte one is AMD 780 chipset.
Just took a tour at ABIT webby, I didn't see any AMD 780 mobo smile.gif

ABIT AX78 ( Don't be confused by the name, it's 770 chipset based)
http://www.abit.com.tw/page/en/motherboard...PE=Socket%20AM2

GA-MA78GM-S2H ( This is the one that u guys discussing, i guess )

Integrated Memory test you mean?I need to run the test first ah?

mind to post oc screenshot? icon_rolleyes.gif
it's very difficult to understand your situation without screenshot
we don't use memtest when we already know the overclock is unstable wink.gif

But I not confirm to buy yet. Need to know the price.
And i cannot find any review on it. Mayb the board not good  hmm.gif  hmm.gif

But if UT series (his bro) is good, DK should be good rite?

-pWs-
*
UT series uses transpipe and digital PWM smile.gif
Remember the review? it describes the core voltage reading like dead man's heartbeat diagram laugh.gif
no matter idle or full load, the vcore remain the exactly the same

DK not using digital PWM??

-pWs-
*
nope, don't have the transpipe as well
that's how they differentiate DK and UT series laugh.gif

edited: just realized that DK series don't have onboard debug display as well smile.gif

they don't work on biostar TA770A2+ smile.gif

I will try lower it,perhaps 2.10 VDIMM?Bleh done at 400 also same.Nope if i lower it it the HTT only can accept around 220 and it will boot vmad.gif .Impossible lor at least a 2.7Ghz unachieavable.
*
value ram used to bottleneck the overclocks as they cannot stand on the 75ns trfc and >7ns for MAL. smile.gif
try to change the trfc to 195ns , MAL to 9ns ( if it is available in bios )
also, please provide CPU-Z and memset screenshot. It's easier to know where you stuck by looking at the SS wink.gif

As promised here is the memset

[attachmentid=411440] <<DEFAULT

Btw,i have tried 2T still same.Digswell yes i did pump it around 1.275V
*
i wonder, why not stick to 2T always? hmm.gif
and the memory divider, you are overclocking your ram already.
yeah i know, you said you've changed them,
instead of giving this old result, why not provide the changed setting SS?
also the MAL, it's very tight.
change it to 8ns in bios if can wink.gif

p/s: do you mind to re-upload your SS? Please upload a decent one , thanks smile.gif

As what i say,i cannot post the current one as it wont boot.and the top one is a default. What do you mean changed settings?
*
1st, you change all of them.
memory divider, command rate, trfc and MAL.
then you slowly find out, what's the highest point you can hit.
then you stay there, take SS wink.gif
there is no point to provide old SS, it doesn't show your current situation

edited: use memset 3.4 if can, it shows trfc values

let me know once you make up your mind ok? brows.gif
For me I've gained biggest satisfactory on TA690G.
Will keep it for HTPC assembling in future.

oh ya, I read somewhere else,
people said AMD has made enhancement on 790FX chippo.
all these chips able to hit 450-500HTT easily.
Also, 7XX series chipsets are designed as energy saver.
That are some of the great features for 7XX series mobo wink.gif

i will stay at AMD side until the end of K8 era (officially) laugh.gif
also, joining darkside doesn't mean i will dump my AMD rig tongue.gif
My current rig, i plan to use it as HTPC / BT machine in future

500HTT , I don't think we need to use up to that stage for both stable & extreme overclocks hmm.gif
really have to think twice before you go,
with that amount of money , can get much more better rig already
