@sempronic

phenom is B2 , Brisbane is G1 & G2 icon_rolleyes.gif
AFAIK , B3 stepping doesn't guarantee oc ability improvement.
It solves TLB errata issue only

QUOTE(casperito @ Feb 27 2008, 12:21 AM)
yes... i second to that

from here

http://en.thethirdmedia.com/Article/200801...w7315c12p1.html

we can see that even with TLB patch, it sacrifices performance for stability..
so the B3 batch they solve the TLB errata prob and this will maybe drop the performance for stability...

here's about TLB

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Translation_lookaside_buffer

here's some other Phenom reviews

http://www.techspot.com/review/84-amd-phen...ly-performance/

http://xtreview.com/addcomment-id-3672-vie...-pi-result.html

http://www.techwarelabs.com/reviews/proces..._black_edition/

aishhh... so many.. lazy~~~~~
*
That is not true, my friend smile.gif
As what i know, TLB errata is microcode error at part of the L3 cache
The TLB patch is just a temporarily solution, it covers the error parts and that's why it cause performance decrement. ( Part of the L3 cache removed from user usage)
AMD promise to fix the TLB errata by reprogram the microcode.
That is why B3 stepping is known as TLB errata free smile.gif

super pi chinese version ? hmm.gif
no wonder so familiar, it's from itocp.com laugh.gif
kinda uncompleted review , the VR-Zone 1.
I try to search around, let's see whether can get OCed result for that review icon_rolleyes.gif

OT: itocp.com sucks , their core overclockers only know how to achieve high in cpu-z validation ( that's brainless and skilless oc)
OS Tweaks, ram timings tweaks , other secret benching skills ? Sorry they don't know and don't wanna know at all whistling.gif
sorry to say but they are lame whistling.gif

u still can use it on d next mobo wat, not necessarily u need a 1066 ram to run a tri-core phenom. some more almost all 10 anni are capable of that (1066)...  icon_idea.gif
wow.. that's abit extreme... mobo voltmoded for more juice? as far as i remember, ta690g offers 2.5v max, rite?  blink.gif
*
That's TA770 A2+ , mobo detail is shown in the SS wink.gif
TA690G max vdimm is 2.6v
wait a min, you're using TA690G also right ? laugh.gif

bro, 1210 w 2.1v aint that bad leh... it's gud enuf for me ledi...  wink.gif

do u guys actively cool d ram? it's kinda hot for me but i have yet to get a ram cooler for my pair. abit worried that d temp will kill d ram in long run even w/ 2.0~2.1v only...  sweat.gif
*
ram killer
1) high voltage
2) overheat
3) tight timings+ high frequency

always active cool the ram so that it can stay healthy laugh.gif

you didn't change the memory divider yet sweat.gif
it's 800 divider now, try to lower it to 533 or 400
and i realized that you're using 10x multiplier.
you can use higher cpu multiplier right?
