QUOTE(DtG4207 @ Jan 7 2009, 06:14 PM) that gtr.. ouch... but can see the crumple zone really did its job.. n despite such a crash the a pillars diverted the force upwards and never bent into the cabin... that is what money buys you.... unlike the kancils and kenaris u saw earlier, crushed into tiny balls of metal wreckage... dude, when it comes to car accident, it's unpredictable what will happen and the car itself does not determine outcome of the accident. whether it is a kancil, a saga, a vios, or even 7series beemer, accident can and will happen, if safety precautions are carelessly taken care off.. and safety starts with you... not the car that you are driving... because it's obvious that car will never have brain no matter how expensive and how safe it has been designed.. remember, late princess diana died in car crash, and the car involve was mercedes benz...drive safely... think of your love ones.. |

QUOTE(yhanwong @ Feb 5 2009, 12:02 AM) happen on 3/4/2008 @ MRR2 bridge. near the tesco(last time is makro). the way to hulu kelang. there r many "pro" lorry driver, especially those shell and petronas lorry driver who follow closely to each other like a train on the road instead following the 2 sec rule/30 feet (i know many dont follow it), i meet many of them on highway, but so far this is the first time i see them crash, if they crash coz of follow too closely behind, i would say, they deserve it, furthermore, that's not their lorry.when Petrol(liquad) meet NGV(Gas)......lucky not fire.... else... hardly imagine it~ |

QUOTE(1282009 @ Feb 15 2009, 11:16 PM) From the link ... have u seen one? the wired rope barrier is actuall made of steel and can sustain high tension. Also, the wired rope barrier has small 'working' area and thus, can produce high force accoding to F=m/A. The less area, the more force. to learn more, read this from wikipedia.."From this kind of crash, what we can learn is you should try avoid driving during wee hours as our body clocks are just not suitable to work optimally. Force has nothing to do with area dude. F=ma (massxacceleration). The correct term is pressure, P=F/A (force/area). stabbing with a knife is easier than stabbing with a mace cos of the small contact area of the knife compared to the hammer, even though the force might be equal.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wire_Rope_Safety_barrier |
