Just like Gen-2 mar....launch in Thailand 1st...

same like SONY receiver also what...the SONY is even worst...it's available freely in US/EU but in boleh land....u have to make special order and wait for 2-3 months for the unit...I wanted to get the DG910 b4 buying my V861 but Sony said it's a "high end" model here so have to make special order and funny thing is, they put in in their quarterly promotion booklet.... shakehead.gif  doh.gif

Itu pun belum teruk lagi, our local version, the newly launched Sony Bravia W400 series doesn't have 100 Mhz motion flow even though it's a full HD panel but the equivalent model in the US, V4100 has 100 Mhz motion flow and a host of exclusive features at a cheaper price. doh.gif Potong steam ..... mad.gif

Style Photo doesn't sell B&W speakers but nowadays their audio room is not as good as last time, I have stopped going there since 10 years ago.

The shop is located opposite Komtar's row of goldsmith shops along Penang road, before the traffic lights. You can't miss it. Next to it is the famous Penang Road chicken rice stall. laugh.gif

ohh so bad? I rarely visit "hi-end" shop coz i try not to get myself poison. when i need a AVR last time, my fren told me to go there then I buy on the spot the 459, not sure if I kena chop head or not also. but the guy quite friendly lah.

That particular chicken shop, once i bring my family go eat there, they all agreed that the chicken chopped and served like dog food. lol
quite expensive to me, but the taste is OK.

Well, for example, like the RX-V1800, certain features are not the same as the US version, though not important or won't spoil our listening sessions but felt cheated mar since we're paying more and getting less. mad.gif

Last time, Style Photo very high end one, they have Mordaunt Short, Tannoy, KEF, JBL, Wharfedale, Cerwin Vega, Cabase, PSB, etc but now very limited brands left. Not to perli or anything lah, I guess they're not into high end stuff now, more towards mainstream stuff.

That chicken rice shop ar ...... last time used to be okay but now, not only expensive, the chicken looked dried up and not fresh, the drinks lagi teruk, no flavour at all and dare to charge me RM1.20 for one 'teh peng' vmad.gif Mau kena satay liao.

FYI, these shops can get other brands for you too even though they're not displayed in their shop.

Central Audio? Yeah, I remembered them, I asked them whether got discount for the JBL Control 1 rear speakers, they told me the price was firm even thought they were the last pair there. Surprisingly, many ppl buy from them. doh.gif

Lansi no point, they have forgotten that they're in Penang, Penangites are price sensitive and they want the best service, with this type of attitude, they won't go far for sure.

I guess the spending power in KL more geng than here. People in Penang are more price sensitive b'coz disposable income is not as much as people staying in KL. This is thru my personal observation, even my friend said, the Yamaha RX-V1800 also hard to sell in Penang but in KL, some ppl find it cheap and reasonable. Most of the hi-fi stuff sold at my friend's shop are mostly budget range to be honest.

Bro, over here in KL, everyone tries to squeeze the best price out of the dealers. Best quote for 1800 so far is RM3,600 cash
