QUOTE(djlah @ Mar 14 2008, 12:35 PM) Erm... for me, it aint my cup of tea. Maybe for amateur with budget constraint into HT, it is decent. There are many better choices out there, if you ask me.QUOTE less than 5k item wan this and that.... if not right ma do fire sale in lowyat.net lor.... Wah... But, on another note, no need to bring the AVR there. Just audition. I suppose they have similiar AVR or substitute models. |

I was at this HiFi shop in Sunway Pyramid......(no prize for guessing which) and heard this conversation -
Salesman - this pair of cables very good wan. I tested it already. Customer - how much? Salesman - only RM7,000 Customer - WHAT! RM7,000??!!!! Salesman - yes, its only medium range. Got higher wan. A lot of my customer bought already. I've tested it myself. The higher range ones cost RM175,000 Customer - HUH! RM175,000? Salesman - yes! and I've tested it myself, its very good. made of 99.99% pure silver! Its proven! Customer - got ppl spend so much on cables meh? Salesman - yes, some say thats it better than changing to a new amp even. Ive tested before and it sounds very open. Salesman - come I show you one more thing. *takes customer to the counter*. This is a zerostat gun Customer - whats that? Salesman - you know your CDs or DVDs got a lot of static wan. ah this thing will take away those static. I've test it myself. Very good. You hear than you know the difference. Customer - this wan for the player or disc? Salesman - hear I show you *takes out zerostat and show customer*, you press like this and all the static will be gone. Wow! I didnt know that I have to rid the static from my disc? I have use Zerostat before back in the early 80s for my records but I didnt know they make a difference for optical disc! Anyway, salesman says "he tested already" like a million times so Im inclined to believe him..... This post has been edited by DigitalKL: Mar 15 2008, 04:46 PM |

Digitalkl, I knew which shop that you are talking about. Maybe it's the guy, whom is manning the shop in Dsara Uptown now. Quite cocky.
There is another dude, who is quite friendly when I frequent there years ago. First class treatment. Their 'HQ' also got a few who looked down on potential customers. It pissed me off so much that I returned the next week with bling bling and xxxxx. That fella did a about turn in his attitude and serving me like a King. I did not buy anything but gave him a nice lesson and walked out. This post has been edited by htkaki: Mar 15 2008, 05:21 PM |

i dunno whether he was cocky or LCLY because i didnt get to speak to him. he seems friendly to the other customer. thin and tall guy this one.
just that i find it funny he mentioned so many times "ive tested it myself" ! LOL |

Salestalk and try to hard sell it. It's utterly crazy and downright inappropriate to say that it is better than changing the amp if the cables cost more than the amp. Even if it costs abt half the price of my amp, I would rather upgrade my amp.
To buy a RM7,000 cable, your system must be those high end setup that costs 6 figures. Overkill, at least for me. |

AudioPro aint bad but for me, it doesnt suit me. one of the reason is the price. I have auditioned the Evo series before. A bit high on the treble and soundstage aint the best for the money.
I would rather opt for KEF, Wharfy or AE for the money |
