Assetto Corsa [2014] + cheap + tonnes of mods + physics and FFB + dorifto friendly - dated graphic but you can improve it with mods
Assetto Corsa Competizionnneeezzz [2019] + nice graphic and sound + more polished driving and racing experience + physics and FFB - limited to GT cars and tracks - non-moddable
Automobilista 2 [2020] + cheap + better ProjectCars physic + there's Demo you can try on Steam - have that weird ProjectCars handling - car and track selection is not that great - non-moddable
Also there's rFactor 2, I heard the UI is finally usable now. lel
Thanks. Will try out Asetto Corsa and Automobilista 2 as you suggested. Also looking at Forza Horizon 5. No idea what to expect from all these but I guess Forza is definitely arcade instead of anything sim? hahaha... Anyway thanks again for the recommendation.

I'm not a fan of using wheel when playing arcade/simcade because usually these types of racing games requires you to go lock to lock quite often if not all the times. I haven't try using wheel on FH5 though.

okay... found out a few things after playing around with the G29 for a few days. It feels good to be playing with a wheel instead of a gamepad. So much more precise control. Also come with some sort of learning curve. So much settings to tinker with (when playing AC). Currently am just clamping it on to my desk. No issue while gaming with that but I had also just bought a simple stand so I can just fold it up instead of packing everything every time after the session. Also, my office chair kept on moving when I step on the pedals. aisehhh... -end of announcement-
Guys, what did you all set for the wheel turning radius? I'm having trouble trying to make sharper corners or controlling the cars using 900° on my wheel. You all set it to 540° or stick to 900°?

In what game? I usually use 900 or the car default turning radius.

Well, so far I'm only playing AC and FH5. Both also having issues making tighter turns. Maybe I'm just not yet used to the steering wheel. It's much manageable with 540° turning radius compared to 900. Guess I'll be sticking to 540 for the mean time. lol...

Time to service my VR racing rig, too many loose parts and bolts both on steering, rig and seat after accumulated use. How often you guys servicing your wheels?

What ever float your boat. In arcade game you need much lower turning radius so you can go lock-to-lock faster. Try to keep it at 900 for sims so you get more control when turning.

Once in 10 years.. my wheel is 8 years old now so I'll service it in 2 years.

Hey, did you update your Quest 2 firmware to the latest version? I read about some recent update bricking the headset.
Haven't update the latest ones but i don't think i will ever update my Oculus Quest 2. Everytime they update it ruins the hand tracking and the guardian system around me.
Hi all I'm thinking of buying the GT DD Pro wheel but seems like a lot of people online are saying my Playseat Challenge will not be suitable for it since the force is too strong (8nm). I'm debating between an NLR F-GT seat (swappable between F1 and GT racing positions), or something like Simmatch GT1 full aluminum rig. Any advice? The alu rig is way cheaper, but not sure how sturdy it is or how it'll hold up over time

Go for Simmatch GT1 aluminum rig, i'm also using it because its the most proper driving rig that could grow and flexibility to add extension and lots of universal mods. The 4080 aluminum quite sturdy too and no torque twist as i seat around and pulling the steering. I've added lots of tactile/vibration/rumble system around the rig and holds the 'shocks' very well. Really feels like driving a real car in VR since i can feel engine vibration and road bumps and rumbling all over my body through full aluminum frame.

Nice! Thanks for the feedback. I’ve also read that these aluminum profile rigs can be customized and modded, but locally where to find parts to mod or even ready made pieces? For example if I have an extra Fanatec wheel I want to attach to the rig on the side… things like that
