I've been using it for more than a year, so far I haven't encountered any problems. However, if you're not a hardcore sim racer, you shouldn't be too worried about the reliability issues.
Everyday practise ka?  rclxms.gif

Planning to buy Logitech MOMO,but does it reliable?

Read from the old archives on the net..around 1-2 year after the release, there are so many complaints about the accelaration pedal problem..not 100% throttle etc..and would require to void the warranty to permanently fix it =\

Did Logitech fixed those problems for the new productions? There is still some hesitation...could anyone convince me?

I give my momo daily beating. And so far in the course of 2.5 years or so, Ive had 2 sets of momo. The most prob is the pedals. Spikes can happen to both throttle and brake. I used to cover my pedals set with cloth to avoid dust to accumulate inside the pot. That is the main cause of dislocated, dirty pot that'll lead to spiking.

So the spiking could actually be prevented, huh? hmm.gif
Well I guess warping the set with cloth ain't such a pain.

But I still couldn't decide wether to buy it or not rclxub.gif

Its just one way to do it. And try if u can, not to step on the pedal from an extreme angle, coz it will soon dislocate the pot position and led to spikes. Try to step on it somewhat perpendicular to the pedal set base.

Why couldnt decide? U need it. u buy it....hehe

Even when you race, you also have to do everything smoothly in your cockpit. nod.gif

QFT

Something fr reali life racing that can be applied to race games or sims

"He (Clark) was the quickest man in the team, and yet his car would have less tire wear, less brake wear, and more fuel left at the end of the race than any of the others. He was light on cars and had a mechanical sympathy for things." - Bob Dance, race mechanic, Team Lotus

most sim racing games and g25/g27 really similar to real driving? Like when u release clutch too quickly, the engine dies.

Live For Speed is like that. Best clutch modelling so far. Check out Malaysian Drifters using LFS. Some even 'clutch kick' to drift, double clutching and things like that.

Grid is a half arcade and half sim racing game so does Dirt. GT5 is simulator.
