hi, good evening, just got my G900 today. how to disable auto key lock? entire manual no mentioned. does anyone know a site/place where has G900 tips n tricks other than manual? thanks abundant.

and AP set and ORI set..

the ap set the battery runs out fast.....so for solution i bought an original battery...and it can hold longer

the ori set..no problem with it

i just wanna compare kk n kl prices. some seem kk cheaper by quite a margin. here ori about 1.4k n ap about <1k.

another thing i wan ask, the three options on screen, ie calls, menu, more...
r they only press-able thru touchscreen only ? can i select them by mechanical button? i know the menu is centre so pressed by the centre button of the D pad. hows the other two.

im not sure about this but i didnt mistaken for reading no chinese input pinyin or even dictionary, either stock or after latest FW update (nov08) ?
cuz my set got en<->cn dictionary, and full pinyin sms input. cus some1 mentioned his pinyin input gone after nov08 FW upgrd. some1 clarify

anyone roughly know the weaknesses/bugs of jul08 v nov 08 FW?


and what stock games u hv? anywhere can get stuffs ie image, wallaperp, games, ringotne for free (lol?)

i just got my g900i

what different with g900

and its totally something new to me. a lil culture shock because this is my first time using this type of phone. lol. btw im having some minor problems and hoping that u guys can help me out.

my first problem is, my friend accidentally changed the orientation of the main menu from horizontal to landscape. so how do i change it back? ive read the manual but its not written inside

just wanto ask, regarding task manager.

surely the phone can handle tens of apps n u not close it it wont lag, so i not concern about lag. i m curious if i left say, 15apps open in background, will my battery consume more than i open 2-3. rationally, it should be right? just insignificantly more i guess. just wanto confirm abit.

cuz ive this very funny streak i alwz close them upto 3 left. tho not tat it lags, just finger gatal i tink n thinking can save the batts =.=" haha

regarding the theme, it seems tht the 'theme' and the icon is separately activated/installed knwing the theme arise from utz file...how about icons? the xbox icons with race driver grid is exceptionally liked.

anyone had these? can email me? i cant find the xbox icon tht goes with it.

i put the tskmgr next to my main button at biz stdby homescrn so its very easily accessible. some mentioned use swiss manager pro one click kill all
apps lol ~page 1x of this thread

with my past WM experience, now i rly wan carefully selective of apps to install hehe

i wonder if theme uninstall, i doubt itwill be uninstal entirely eh

i prefer the bluish white with leafy background (1 of the 2 preinstalled), an alternate theme to the default red one. my icons r whitish like transparent ( i wonder if everyone get the same). i want a solid color icons but unsure how to get em or other type icons for tht matter. themes didnt change icons, zzz, they cuda come in package instead of separately, u like ur mcD in value set right? but imo, wm was slightly messier when comes to themes too especially when u uninstal them, seems alot of leftovers

my set came with en<>cn dictionary with cn pinyin input. some mentioned they disappear along the latest RJ842 FW, true?

im not even halfway thru this thread, any1 felt any improvement/worse off from jul to nov FW upgrd or better off dun upgrd, which is i guess unlikely?

mine lasted full 3 days since its virgin charge with very enthusiastic usage first two days 1-2 hours of wifing, exploring, media etc. without these, i guess can last >4days, impressive by my standard. sofar , no hang/hiccups even wifi, not met any bugs etc so i suppose my jul08/R825 still ok. only concern about faster response time, this is no limit pursuit de lol

last time WM use .zip file wihtout unzip so now symbian i tot leave it in zip form.

unzip to which memory? nand drive can mah, or must phone memory? if so under which phone mem directory

BTW, I found a few icon pack in my computer that i ought to share... installation is super easy...

1) Copy it to yr phone by cable or by M2 adapter OR directly install it with SE PC suite... (of cos la unzip it until u see it's a SIS file
2) Install it to yr wonderful baby
3) Restart it and hola.. there u go... seeing new icons at the main menu
4) Uninstall it to get back yr original icons
5) To install different pack of icons.. remember to uninstall the previous icon pack then only install the second icon pack.. and restart!!

NOTE: This is the easiest way to replace yr icons.. of cos if u dislike the images.. u can alter or create yrself anytime and insert manually into the correct directory into yr phone... REMEMBER TO RESTART EVERY TIME YOU HAVE MODIFIED YOUR SYSTEM FILES

DISCLAIMER: Apparently it works well with my phone.. sg firmware.. dunno work well on GW or not..

thnks for steps, most forums ive scavenge for r abundant in many other things rather than specifically changing icons itself.

problem is, my found iconpack is in .png once i unzipped. hence i asked them where to put to. cuz in phone mem, there ain't 'viable' directory to put in, or must i install capsSwitch to dabble with 'hidden' directories to customize ie icons, others.

hv u tried tweak peak booster, from the developer of swiss manager pro?

(1) deep inside an option somewhere, there's a setting on/off for transition. i wonder what is that. Ive read (forgot where) tht off is faster tho. but faster what not mentioned.

(2) what gps possible in the G900? so far only tried googlemap, doesnt seem to show traffic condition info etc as advertize abiliity of gps

(3) dono why my pc sometime can detect hp (and able to transfer files) sometime cannot detect. however, my hp there says detected all the time. anyone familiar with this weird occurence?

i admit i didnt n don't wanto to install PC suite. im using file transfer

oh man...my G hang till must open batt when i opened video at youtube. cant watch using stock G? or must install some 3p software only can watched youtube. SIGH. don wan a hang phone
