IMO, to an extent, the MP does improve quality, say a 6mp picture option shot from a 6mp cam will hv bettetr output quality kompare to a 3mp format picture shot fr a 6mp cam, all things equal. similarly, same phone lens quality, a 5mp will be better output to a 3mp setting. another close but less accurate analogy would be ur lcd resolution.

however, the number of MP the phone lens can hold flame before the quality start to deteriorate, is the point when the n-MP start cramming the phone cam sensor size more than wat the sensor size was originally made ideal for, that one need calculation lio hehe

can some1 teach me how to put up small thumbnails when click on it will load full reso pic on other tab/browser? so u guys can dl n view in 100% zoom n pixel view if u wan

i attest the cam works way better in good light. the above two pics ,able to zoom in 100% and still retain good details. I shoot with no flash, FINE, 5MP and stabilizer

oh yeah, they were shot in cloudy weather about to drizzle tht explain the darkness. i should have exposure compensate but the lcd i set too dim (my own brightness setting) in daylight to be able to gauge the correct exposure (D-pad) hence abit dark but its adjustable during shootout, jus fyi.

these r non processed u can see it's quite sharp for 4R. and mine's FW is 825, the older one, im sure the latest R842 is better output.

like i said, it was a particularly cloudy. actually just a while ago, i activated ACDpro to adjust (just) image exposure, to lighten up abit (or darken), pretty effortlessly. result alot better. eitherway, u can see the tires r very sharp, plate number etc





first thg first, im not particularly good shooter, alwyz bad timing when i press the shutter, means bad view! the flat i shot in moving car.

i own a pretty good digicam fujifilm finepix F31 and the color produced by fujifilm is widely known to be more natural looking compare to those more vividly,vibrantly colored canon n the likes. so im kinda use to natural colored pictures, this particular case, the G900 has very natural look color. if not satisfied (subjectively), can alwz with a touch, simply boost the color abit without the complexity of photoshoping.

idk why ppl say this model cam particularly bad, imo, it serve the purpose with natural color and very good sharpness contents me. like the F31, the g900 possibly requires abit of user 'input' rather than simply point n shoot camera.

Good evenin! so far seem no 1 mention the video from page 1. letme be the first...

walao.!...just now i tried the video shooting...pretty damn pro for a phone man, dun use oso must try orh lol...myb my last phone was lousy standard O2 smartphone WM.

the video shooting got video stabilizer somemore lol but i not pro enuff to feel any differences. if u know the difference, do tell k. another thing, while shooting can zoom in zoom out somemore, CUN habis! but very quiet my place here, the mic record the key when i zoom in/out.

i shot in high quality 320x240 of two options available, the other being mms. 42s approx. 2mb so u extrapolate urself lo lol it seem the vid stabilier on, also no effect on file size. seem like 1,600MB alot to video oso le.

the playback is very decent imo, hvg no expensive phone b4 (idk about nokia video) but this G900 surely is really bang for the buck! for being decently capable in all sorts of aspect....reli like muah... lol

anyway, i don use video but rare occasion when relative/frens meeting, i do kepoh vedeo everyone....time like this, u got but dun use still better than when u use, quality so bad. exp fr my O2 video rly horrible....anyway i doubt currently any hp cam can shoot in H264 yet lol?

tht makes the two of us srsly, size matters to me. end r the days of a misunderstood bulging front pockets!

anyone,

last night, i (apparently) install one myself capswitch, sis installer and xboxicon pack all with al the mbm rsc files in side to the sys/bin, but not all the standby and menu icons change so some r xbox icons ,while some, well, default. i deleted the xbox's mbm n rsc files in bin, restart and they remained no matter i already changed to default theme.

(1) now my icons r most freak of nature, a mixture! wud appreciate if hear how to reverse the process ie clean the unwanted icons previously installed.

(2) ohya, wud like to know also how to avoid this happen in future ie only install icon.sis, etc

ohyeah, the xbox theme look more cacat on my phone than on images i saw on net (which is sharp), i deduced that most theme r not as good looking as u c on the net, just mho! unless a totally super complete theme.

how laggy, this is pretty relative. generally, i think G900 speed for normal is highly acceptable for most ppl, myself being a former WM smartphone user also. close to normal phone speed to me. I sms very often, so dedicated sms key, the smart sms that keeps recently sent contact impresses me, and fav contact lets u direct sms the person who u hardcore sms with is another delight option.

my fren who faithfully owns the k650 or was it 7nn himself thought the G900 was very responsive, tht coming from a experienced user like urself. h/w we've no experince with the P1i

ive owned mine almost 10days, hung once when i forcefully watched youtube when its advisable using 3rd pt s/w.

ppl here claim average ly (for non lemon phone) 2-5days, varying from heavy usage to hardly touch the phone (myb touch gf).

my first charge with heavy usage, exploring knowin the hp inside out, gave me 3days. second charge was fri till now 3%, lasted 4days, with medium to heavy use. hours of wifi, gmm and fiddling the phone.

the power consumption will dpd on brightness significantly. this cud be a trade off should u int to know. i set mine pretty low (ie. 1x-2x% which i don mind) to get extended charge of 3days wit mediumhigh usage, possibly 5-6days with hardly touches the phone, strictly! lol

at first i almost get the asus mini pda p320 wit claimed batt of 1 day/charge as most pdafon (deeply concerns me! n no keypad) possibly less than 1 day with heavy usage

pda turn pdafon is call pdafon with weak batt ie htc, o2,hq
smartphones r usu. nokia se that turn phones to pda able =smartphone tht retains its good batt
so bascially smartphone is pdafon , with difference of keypad n batt charge.

i love the pda ability while still retaining normal phone look, size, keypad with batt. i love candy bar

wa....u all seem so easy reinstall FW. im still with FW 825. scared after listening to numerous failed cases....partly, my current fw doesnt seem to shown any bug, and responses r quite nimble. so i thot why fix sthg tht aint broken. i think mine is HK FW825, which is reasonably stable.

actualy kinda fed up with themes now, few themes installed, some ticks or some words will be unsuitable color or worst, same color as the words or ticks as the theme background.

id go for just icons now. over 100s of pages, still nobody comes up with good icon technique, simple one

gettin bored of the g900 eh . im aware of the 5800XM prior to this and acknowledge its pretty extensive power n connectivity, attracted to it. its a full touchscrn without the qwerty or slide, no? but i must stick to old habit- keypad! lol esp. when driving tht time

how much is the xm btw.




on the g900, guys, instead of shortcut for ur alarm (save 1 slot), tapping the time at ur standby, will bring up the alarm clock setting also.

we might be lol if i hadnt so stubborn about keypad, the XM seem like a better substitute, full blown connectivity! lol lets see what else LOL well, ignorant is bliss, man

i still use keypad, imo still hard to beat, esp when in car. dark brown g900 is good looking no doubt. 3.2" 16M will eat ur battery alive, review said watcing movie is the utmost batt killer apps, bear tht in mind. personally, at home, i use stylus most of time to ensure no fingerprint so my G900 is pristine all the time lol. 5mp still sounds better in look, quality wont fall far behind, if not exceed. as most pdafon, camera wont shine at nightshot so dont expect the XM cam to conjure miracle. i dont use 3G, HSDPA, by the time its affordable/and comfortable to use em, id gotten myself a ultra super phone original then possibly half the price of all phones now lol.

-its a pretty responsive smartphone regardless of 208mhz proc speed which most ppl (who dont own the phone) think is slow but the mem of 128mb is considered pretty generous, good for multitasking wont bog u down upto tenS of apps simultaneously.

-accurate and sensitive touchscrn. quite good batt. phone built minimal creak, quite solid, very compact feel and very light 99g only! dark brown is special (i think)

-its size is one hand operatable smartphone with virtual qwerty, handwrite recog, biz scanner

-decent cam, speaker, very good multitasker-phone

-stable OS (minus the risky self tweaking attempts etc)


CONS
-camera button bit challenging to press (travel distance short)

-speaker hole lies flat at the rear cover, so suppress the sound abit when incoming call/sms IF ur phone is placed flat on the back.

-not full blown connectivity but adequate than most u find

-320x 240 screen not so generous

-batt lid rear cover abit rough to open/close ,not slide type.

-lcd quite thumbprint tracks (even fingernails not entirely neat so i use stylus as often at home)

-no softkey on rec/hang calls so must rely touchscreen

days ago, i cudnt connect to wap so digi told me to set priority 1 to wap, so wifi to 2nd. he was right in guaranteeing will solve the problem n it did. but i wan 1wifi 2digi wap

because of two INTERNET ACCOUNTs; 1-internet 2-wap , got this very frequent option pop up when surfing asking u u wan to connect to (internet/WAP) ?

kinda annoying.

to counter this, i thought by deleting the WAP account (so my wap setup fr digi gone) in INTERNET ACCOUNT, & set my 1internet account priority with 1wifi 2digi wap, hoping WAP will connect when wifi fail but i was wrong.

now i cant even use my WAP which shouldnt be because of my priority 2digi wap in 1internet account.

sry long winded. any1 experienced this?
