What's your computer boot time., How long does it take?

Mine takes hefty 3min++ to loads......
 For the BIOS only to load takes about 1min++ The startup program in my comp only AVG, LAN and ATI Catalyst Control Centre *I already clean the registry and defrag the pc but only got small different......  Specs P4 1.6Ghz 400Mhz FSB 2x256MB ddr1 ram Windows XP  |

thats freakin long... like that no need to load AVG on start up d... try check see wether application load during start up that u left out.. |

mine only 15-20 seconds..
for fast boot time need to do some tweak at registry... change the enable prefetcher of boot time to 5 hexadecimel...  also untick useless startup at msconfig and unused services.. also manually assign the ip adress...  |

if u enable prefetcher on xp/vista,ure boot up times will decrese but when ure running other software does it take a long time to load?
i have tried it on xpsp2 about 2 years ago and i notice it takes 2 as long to open office,winamp,maya... does it happen to u?for xp or vista?cos i see vista's prefetching is better due to the file seeking.. |
