Killing time while waiting for SC2 or ETW ah? Haha~!

Im not really interested in SC2 now.ETW,not really too because i prefer Sci Fi RTS.

Sins is perfect for me because it's very similar to Settlers. The pace, the gameplay, the econ management.

I think he mean the size of each of his small group of ships.

If he divide this fleet too much, the numbers of ships in each group is too little.

But damn against com last night, they have a full fleet cap armada against mine, but com turned away, and so I continued to take its plannets.

BTW anyone found out that this game only takes up to 1.5 gigs of ram and it starts to lag even though you have 2 gigs.
*
Ok,thats something i dont know.

My CPU isnt that strong.Guess i have to lower my settings.

Sins lags a tiny bit in the demo.

Hmm...I was hoping for a bit of Homeworld, but hmm...it'll do. There really ain't a story in there. The background music...alamak. I thought Ironclad has some of the Homeworld team, no?
*
The music is so bad meh?

I find it pretty good compare to some other game's music.

Iron Clad do have some of the Barking Dog's staff. Not to forget some ex-Rockstar North staff.

Whats BGM?

I find it still good with those orchestral music, especially the main menu music. It feels epic and if they put electonics music,it just spoil the mood.

I was hoping that Jeremy Soule is the one actually make the music.

Anyone played this on a notebook? anygood? inputs? or bul!shit? going to buy new lappie soon.. but duno if can support or not.
*
Yes,im playing it on a notebook and it works just great. No problems at all and im running it on almost max.Only lags on late game where everyone have full caps.

My laptop specs are:
Centrino Duo 2.2GHz
2GB RAM(now,just upgraded to 3GB)
8600MGT 256MB DDR3

You know.. the system requirement or even the recommendation is not always correct all the time. Based on my experience and knowledge, I know the will be a different in the real situation than just a note. All what I ask for was if someone already played this game on his/her laptop. Give some input on it. I did google before I post here btw. And yes I don’t have days to google.

just ignore my bad word la.
*
Yeah,it's not 100% right most of the time because some laptop components are undercloak compare the desktop counterpart.Still,if it works on a desktop,it should work on a laptop with a slightly lower setting.

I think the performance has improved in the new beta patch.

It seems smoother now and the textures look damn nice now.

i see. Thanks for the input. smile.gif been waiting for this kind of game since Homeworld 2.

The thing is.. i'm going to buy laptop soon. Not sure if the XPS15" are the best since i much prefer 17" for bigger screen.
*
Dont worry,as long as your laptop have similar specs as my laptop,im sure Sins will look gorgeous.

Added on August 2, 2008, 10:23 pmIs it just me or Sins 1.09 looks much better than 1.05?

I really like their new Advent squadron ships redesign.
