Goodness! I can't wait. The year 2001, 2002 and 2003 was the most exciting year, personnally, due to The Lord of the Rings trilogy.

What’s up, ya’ll?
Hope you are doing good, if not great! smile.gif

I watched it last week and thought this final chapter was …

1st of all, just like everyone else, I didn’t think that something as majestic and full of rage as Smaug, of which the ending of the previous chapter was done abruptly just to stir our curiosity to know how Laketown will be blown away to kingdom come; would bite the dust in such a fashion. Never mind that it died so soon in the movie because that’s what supposed to happen and this final chapter is all on the upcoming battle of the 5 races but for Smaug to die in such a way? Oh dear… I thought that was a preview itself of how the whole movie is going to be.

The main characters, in this movie, only had me acknowledge their presence, at best. It didn’t make me care for them in the way I did for Frodo, Aragon and etc. They showed up, one by one, and I told myself, “Oh. There you are…”

Personally, I felt that there was more “Umph” playing the 2006’s The Battle for Middle-earth or its sequel, The Rise of the Witch-king, than watching the 4 ground races and 1 aerial race on the battlefield.

Saving grace? The pace of this final chapter! I like it more than its predecessors.

Battle of the Five Armies (2014) was TASTELESS and FORGETFUL for me.

If you haven’t watched it, well, you’re not missing out on anything. Just wait for the DVD or you-know-what.

Blessed Christmas, ya’ll. rclxm9.gif
