Hello, i'm new to string world. just bought cheap violin (for beginner) last year's November from Amadeus Violin, PJ. my violin brand is China made called Synwyn. then i straightly changed to new string n the brand is Vision (euro string) which recommended by the owner there. i was seldomly practicing since i bought the violin due to busy-ness during college time. now i wnt to start practice back n wanted to chnge new strings since the old strings already torn away. now i wud like to ask ur opinion what brand of string is good?

why did you buy such high quality string, beginner is ok to use cheap string i think.... string how good also useless, our violin itself so sucks already.

dnt scold me... how wud i know. biggrin.gif i'm an ultra beginner. wanna start violin at the age of 21 now 22. love violin since i was 13 but i came frm a standard fmly so i dnt hav money to buy during that time.

so in my college's life, i collect money n my budget was RM500. since i especially reserved the money just to buy violin then i settled all the money

for violin, chin rest, new strings n a book+cd to learn by myself. the instructor recommended me a new string then i just agreed since still got money. sweat.gif

I see, then the Pirastro Tonica is the next step you would really want to try.

After that, you might want to consider gut strings. The Pirastro Passione, the highest quality strings (well... this is a subjective matter). biggrin.gif

actually, i dnt care any string i use as long as it can match the sound that i used to hear frm my current torn string. one of the string already snapped away then i put back the original string that came along with the violin. but i try to tune (eventhough i dnt know), but still i cant find the tune i want. i tried adjusting the know frm the 'loose' part until the 'max' part. still cannot get the sound. i dnt know y.
