Hi Kimmie, is Euro Music Distributor S/B at City Squre, Jln Tun Razak shifted? I've been calling 03-2164 2389 for few weeks - keeps on ringing but no reply. Wanted to send my violion for "check-up" & realign the bow strings as I'm keen to pick up violin again after long rest. Enquire music centres before where they recommend a new bow at RM90-RM120 instead of fixing. Acceptable?

QUOTE(little ice @ May 15 2009, 10:06 AM) euro music moved to sri hartamas shopping center. if you mean you want some new hair for your bow, it's around RM100+-. if something is wrong with the bow, better buy a new one, better if you willing to spend some RM200 at least to buy a new bow. rm1000 bow is pretty standard among most local violinists. your 1st teacher is your tutor, your 2nd tutor is a good violin, and the 3rd tutor is a good bow. spend more on violin/bow will allow you to dicover more. Thank you, Little Ice. I don't even remember to call it hair for the bow as I thought it's named string. Neglected my violin for too long period. Actually there's no breakage to the bow & I'm only interested to change all the loosen hairs. I'm just afraid that upon changing to a new bow, it does not match to my violin - fr colour to wood texture. Mine is a Korea violin. Is it worth to just change the hairs for RM100+- instead of getting a new one for RM90-RM120? The music centres seem to favour the option of getting a new one.

[quote=little ice,May 15 2009, 01:35 PM] that said, if your bow is worth more than that or you like it very much, then don't change, just rehair. and if you want a rehair job you can approach calvin, euro music @ sri hartamas or mr. wong, early music venture @ taman desa which is nearer.
Can I have the phone numbers to call Calvin and Mr. Wong that you recommended so that I may enquire more? TQ.
