if im not mistaken, most stores accept debit card?that means using your atm card to charge...
average would cost you somewhere near 500++
still think that you should prepare 1k...coz an average set you would be utilizing it for a period of time right?so get a better one...and better ones cost you laugh.gif

Lose its curve? My teacher told me it will damage the hair...

if im not mistaken its the hair,it shortens the lifespan i think...but both is true...the bow IS wooden...it tends to bend made by the tension

I accidently dropped my violin while walking down the stairs, and it fell all the way down to the ground level. I got dents all over, and the chin rest had a huge crack  Thank God it didnt broke into 2 pieces. I was emo the whole day. Kinda makes me feel like I'm abusing my new born child...

Lolz! the music god must really love you...but check it properly, see if the sound is effected or not...its normal to feel emo...i remember dropping my handmade classical guitar before...brand new that time,it was kinda like a short stab to your heart sweat.gif
QUOTE
Btw I tend to have shaking tunes when bowing. Any advises? Im still a newbie. =)

no idea >.< coz im having that prob after not playing for sometime...i guess practicing more and try to improve your bowing skills would do the job,i dont know how to explain the method...i tried catching the right preasure to put on the string and glide properly...or your fingers are shaking when you play? sweat.gif

Added on October 13, 2008, 4:47 pmoh?you mean just the outfit?sorry...i thought you were talking bout the set sweat.gif
nah...if just the outfit...500++ would be enough...

lolz...usually instead of getting a beginners violin like skylark,i would rather keep enough cash to get a handmade higher average violin...but its good to exp lower end violins first so you can differentiate the sounds laugh.gif
