Hey guys, I think I just realize that we can actually undervolt the CPU on mobos that can't be set in BIOS...... silly of me not to think about that method.....

Will try it out later and let you guys know....

And another thing.... I can change the VID in core temp for my old rig! Will try it out later on my Q6600!!!  brows.gif

bro...u r like a R&D company or something la...so secretive one.. tongue.gif

After setting the VID, any program will show the new VID in windows.

It doesn't change the actual VID. That means, I can't change my Q6600's VID from 1.3125v to 1.100v and run at stock 2.4GHz!!!

Ability to change the VID shows that we should be careful when buying CPUs just based on VID as people can change them in windows, if they know how.....
*
hmmm...i wonder what is the actual reading from vmm would that be after changing it...just curious whether it just change what is being reported by the sensor or it's really change the actual voltage... hmm.gif
but yeah, it is an interesting piece of apps

I guess the vdrop & vdroop is almost as 65nm C2D

here is the vmod, good news for those C2Q user  brows.gif

btw, below is the screenie for DK X38

*
this is a vmod alrite...but not vdroop mod, which i'm dying (well, not really la... tongue.gif ) to have...
it will increase the vcore even on default setting and will put a lot of stress on other hardware - cpu included;especially on the mosfet.
i think i'll stick with current crazy vdroop... doh.gif

Posted the wrong number, actually my CPU-Z Idle is 1.232 instead of 1.216 sweat.gif

So... my CPU VCore is 1.200 + VID Special Add 37.5mV = 1.2375V?

Vdrop will be: 1.2375 - 1.232 = 0.0055
Vdroop will be: 1.232 - 1.184 = 0.0048

Consider ok? unsure.gif

Anyway, I stopped the prime at 6 hours and 5 minutes instead of 5 hours as I'm going out smile.gif

nice one...3.2G at sub-stock vcore...my quaddie need 1.26v to do 3.2G...still ok but urs is better... rclxms.gif
