front tire i think Dunlop 4 years,rear 1 use Goodyear. 5 years plus edi

erm sifu sifu sekalian......i have a question about my iswara (sedan 1.5A). when i drive at 80km/h, the rpm at around 2.5k. but then i ramp up to 100 to 110km/h, the rpm goes up to 3.5K+. my question........is this normal?? will this cause the fuel consumption becomes higher? is there any way to lower the rpm if it affects fuel consumption? or it is the nature of the engine??

normal first gear at 3K rpm=20kmh
secound gear at 3K rpm=40kmh
third gear at 3K rpm=60kmh
fourth gear at 3K rpm=80kmh
5th gear at 3K rpm=100kmh

because i change gear every 3K rpm tongue.gif

any other are not same?

i dont get y u all keep asking if rpm is normal onot
we are all using the same gearbox...if manual, then all manual will be the same
if using auto, then all auto will be the same

this will always be the case, unless the clutch is slipping in the manual or the viscus coupling is passing for the auto
but the rpm will not be the main indicator if these things are hapening
it will be the loss of power
by the time u can see rpm significantly increasing, you should have noticed the drop in power much much earlier

gear trains have fixed ratios
we arent using CVTs...(unfortunately)

cannot lower it ler... u cannot change ur gear ratios as easy as "game>option>car setting>gearbox>gear ratio>ok".... so in basic terms, no u cannot do anything with it... its the nature of ur gearbox, not ur engine.... smile.gif
