ya, i would buy the current model anytime than to vios. and its in the final stage of perfection for this generation. to me, other than its old, everything else its a good buy. take note too, since the new city is new, it might has a lot of improvements need to be done after unleashed it to our msia road conditions, like the first batch of this city with the cvt problem.

for me, i already start losing confident, but i'll stay till the end. if its really that expensive, then i stick to my car, save more and go for bigger car next time. im no rush haha

anyway mazda 3 ownz city imo, in terms of quality n design, other than pricing wise. i think it is actually compete with civic, only brought down to 1.6cc to compete in city segment. while mazda 6 is compete with accord.

new city msia offers ultraseats? tats nice. both also got black interior? thats even better. now no need to spend over rm90k but still be able to get at least my most basic requirement, the balck interior color that i like hehe. i hope ur SA is right

as for the rims, 16" i know is lighter although is bigger than the 15". so they actually make not much different in FC and speed other than the comfort.

have the same thinking too. i also doubt the ultraseat in city, because thailand, india and singapore doesnt has it. but if city msia has it, that would be nice, and black interior too for both.

oh, dun worry about the steering audio control. can always customize it with the steering wheel from civic/new city. just need a little wiring job done hehe. add the fog lights and there you go, same same. except the paddle shift, gonna cost quite a bit to customize adding it.

lol been to test drive twice for the current city. they always say no stock one. tipu kao kao. until u buy baru they give...tsk tsk tsk. one time was the umbrella, and the other time was the wallet/name card holder thing i dont remember.

ya, for me i wont be going to that extend by modifying the gearbox or engine for just for the paddle shifter thing. im happy enough to have the standard city at say, rm85k....OTR too... i wan balck interior~

agree too, if no money, forget about the paddle thing. the audio shouldnt really be that difficult, i mean since the premium has it, the standard can hav it too. same design, same holder, same connector, same steering wheel only without buttons.

so i'll say just need to customize the wiring from the player and connect to your new steering wheel thats all. take note it wont be cheap because it comes with airbag as well haha

anyone thinking what im thinking? hehehehe. maybe we might be able to own the new city after all, sure enough for all of us hehehehehe

hmm one thing i'd like to point out about the center 'chrome' panel that is quite delicate as
1. high visibility of scratch lines
2. color fade depends on the build quality and tinting after some time
3. sensitive against chemicals such as glade, ambi pur...etc, will leave permanent stain.

hmm is it not retractable means it can 're-tract' by itself rite, else i think it would be called foldable side mirror already, because u need 'to fold' it manually. or just tractable side mirror.

anyway, my presumption is that it only comes with the premium.

new vios is lighter than previos model, better fc but scarifies the stability at high speed...i believe i can fly~

yup new city beats the crap out of the current vios. but still, what matters with all the speed and power after all its jam everywhere in kl. are u frequent highway driver and at odds hours? ask urself if its worth spending extra 15k for that.

since both vios and city are both equally practical, but budget wise which is one of the important factor, sadly i'd say vios wins. o well, there are still many rich malaysians despite the crisis is already happening.
