QUOTE(franson @ Nov 16 2008, 10:15 PM) elru, already decided not to buy the new honda city??~ what about the current model? i heard there is up to 5.5k discount~ ya, i would buy the current model anytime than to vios. and its in the final stage of perfection for this generation. to me, other than its old, everything else its a good buy. take note too, since the new city is new, it might has a lot of improvements need to be done after unleashed it to our msia road conditions, like the first batch of this city with the cvt problem.if new honda city is price that high, i think i might book for this current version and taking Vtec version~ i feel the current model actually not bad too, huh for me, i already start losing confident, but i'll stay till the end. if its really that expensive, then i stick to my car, save more and go for bigger car next time. im no rush haha |

hahaha its mikelee's fault for influencing me! kidding kidding
anyway mazda 3 ownz city imo, in terms of quality n design, other than pricing wise. i think it is actually compete with civic, only brought down to 1.6cc to compete in city segment. while mazda 6 is compete with accord. Added on November 17, 2008, 7:16 pmjust a little expensive....after all its CBU. This post has been edited by elru: Nov 17 2008, 07:16 PM |

new city msia offers ultraseats? tats nice. both also got black interior? thats even better. now no need to spend over rm90k but still be able to get at least my most basic requirement, the balck interior color that i like hehe. i hope ur SA is right
as for the rims, 16" i know is lighter although is bigger than the 15". so they actually make not much different in FC and speed other than the comfort. ok now back to plan A hehe. This post has been edited by elru: Nov 18 2008, 11:55 AM |

wahhh even the E range cost rm88k.... ..... .... .. .. ...... .. when is mazda 3 coming~
Added on November 18, 2008, 12:47 pmbtw, if the standard cost ard 88k, then city is really no longer competing with vios already. again, will see more vios than city on the road... This post has been edited by elru: Nov 18 2008, 12:47 PM |

QUOTE(Travies @ Nov 18 2008, 02:37 PM) if both variant also come with black interior, i think no significant diff already, maybe can consider taking the standard spec at RM 84-88k then upgrade to 16inch or 17' sport rim, can differentiate ur car than other same city on the road. one drawback is the steering audio control lar, that is one of my important requirement also ... have the same thinking too. i also doubt the ultraseat in city, because thailand, india and singapore doesnt has it. but if city msia has it, that would be nice, and black interior too for both. if city over 90k, better get altis 1.6 or 2nd hand civic lor... btw, i heard my fren told me mazda 3 having roadshow at berjaya time square.. anyone been there, share some pic pls. oh, dun worry about the steering audio control. can always customize it with the steering wheel from civic/new city. just need a little wiring job done hehe. add the fog lights and there you go, same same. except the paddle shift, gonna cost quite a bit to customize adding it. QUOTE(mikelee @ Nov 18 2008, 03:05 PM) wow a date.... |

QUOTE(devinz @ Nov 18 2008, 05:37 PM) For any bros out there of thinking adding in paddle shift (aftermarket) i think success rate is close to zero. A lot of civic 1.8 bros are hoping for this good news but has been 3 yrs down the road with no development. It is understand that adding a paddle shift is not as easy as just wiring job and adding in the paddle shift flap. ya, for me i wont be going to that extend by modifying the gearbox or engine for just for the paddle shifter thing. im happy enough to have the standard city at say, rm85k....OTR too... It requires changes to gearbox as well as ECU. As for ultraseat is not 100% confirm. Some of my source say, dun have ultraseat for this new city. This might be true considering Thais, India and Sing also tarak. |

QUOTE(Travies @ Nov 18 2008, 08:43 PM) which venue offer tshirt? agree too, if no money, forget about the paddle thing. the audio shouldnt really be that difficult, i mean since the premium has it, the standard can hav it too. same design, same holder, same connector, same steering wheel only without buttons. Added on November 18, 2008, 8:44 pm is that really easy to fix the steering wheel audio control like civic 2.0? around how much. i think spending money for paddle shift is quite wasting lar... no use also ... not friendly user also. lol so i'll say just need to customize the wiring from the player and connect to your new steering wheel thats all. take note it wont be cheap because it comes with airbag as well haha QUOTE(V12Kompressor @ Nov 18 2008, 09:22 PM) no toto shop, but claiming of toto winnings (big amount) are done at TS. Level 11 is Berjaya-Toto HQ. anyone thinking what im thinking? hehehehe. maybe we might be able to own the new city after all, sure enough for all of us hehehehehe |

QUOTE(n73me @ Nov 19 2008, 09:30 AM) its honda's fault for pricing the city super overpriced haha QUOTE(linkokkeen @ Nov 19 2008, 10:24 AM) my mom SA ask her to apply the loan liao hahahaha . so means now is 3.3% and still dropping? then its good news haha. fast fast come 18 dec!lucky didnt apply it yet. I had a friends who work at PBB, he say HP will reduce interest rate so wait till next month only apply it. existing is 3.55% already is drop 0.25% liao but later will drop another 0.5%. better then nothing last 2 month is increase 1 / 1.5%. now only drop little. is it estimate there will launch this new city at 18 dec 08 ah? coz their advertisement start at 18 nov 08 so i htink after one month is launch time heheheheheeh. so excited to see the real car. |

QUOTE(vitocit @ Nov 19 2008, 11:41 PM) New city will have VSA?!!! Who is the SA saying this? From which honda dealer? Even new Jazz also don't have VSA yet. funny how those SA can actually lie thru their teeth while smiling to you Don't think new city comes with ultraseat where honda msia website alry put 60:40 reclining seat just like thailand, india & spore version. http://www.honda.com.my/news-events/news159_p_10112008.cfm I do hope that honda msia put in auto retractable side mirrors for new city coz thailand, india & spore version all are manual retractable. How can honda take away this handy feature which can be found in facelifted outgoing city?! hmm not sure whether the new city has the retractable mirror or not, belum seen it in flesh yet. but thai city has it as claimed by this delicious sauce: http://www.fleet-asia.com/news/2008/09/wor...lnew_honda_city QUOTE Additional top-of-the-line features include rear seat fold-down 60:40 reclining seat, rear headrest adjustable, paddle shifter system, power door mirror (retractable), rear armrest with cupholder, driver armrest, iPod-compatible Advanced Audio, steering audio control switch, front and rear fog light, chrome exhaust pipe finisher, and 16-inch alloy wheels. hmm one thing i'd like to point out about the center 'chrome' panel that is quite delicate as 1. high visibility of scratch lines 2. color fade depends on the build quality and tinting after some time 3. sensitive against chemicals such as glade, ambi pur...etc, will leave permanent stain. |

hmm is it not retractable means it can 're-tract' by itself rite, else i think it would be called foldable side mirror already, because u need 'to fold' it manually. or just tractable side mirror.
anyway, my presumption is that it only comes with the premium. |

yup. Rm90K++ for 2006/2007 1.8cc civic.
new vios is lighter than previos model, better fc but scarifies the stability at high speed...i believe i can fly~ yup new city beats the crap out of the current vios. but still, what matters with all the speed and power after all its jam everywhere in kl. are u frequent highway driver and at odds hours? ask urself if its worth spending extra 15k for that. since both vios and city are both equally practical, but budget wise which is one of the important factor, sadly i'd say vios wins. o well, there are still many rich malaysians despite the crisis is already happening. |
