In theory, I'm not really sure. But this is my experience driving both SOHC and DOHC.
SOHC picks up faster than DOHC. But when you reach certain speed, SOHC seems lagging behind DOHC.
SOHC seems more powerful than DOHC at starting and I notice it's lighter too.
Don't flame me. It's all according to my experience only.

Most probably, they'll discontinue i-DSI and opt for L13A 1.3litre SOHC i-VTEC.

in Japan, iDSI 1300cc still available at other model, most of minivan/mini mpv biggrin.gif

one of the SA from Millennium Auto & Carriage called me last week, told me to book now becos its coming out in november this year. i highly doubt tat, since new jazz hasnt even release yet, n it usually takes at least 6 months to introduce new model in honda.

i take my chance to wait, few more months is nothing after 2 years waiting for it.

The new City should arrive in Thailand shores around February/March of 2009. This comes from a reliable source I have in Thailand. You can probably make a guess when Malaysia will get it.

The Honda city from magazine compare to the spycam seems got abit differences eh.. The Magazine illustrated it to be like so attractive but the one from Spyshots is abit "wierd" feel alike.

But if it's like the one in magazine then it's still acceptable. Just abit sad as it has become like our local "Mashimaro" type (refering to Gen2), which is hatch back. No longer sedan. smile.gif

I have some updated info.

Thailand Honda will begin production of the new Honda City this September. It's expected to go on sale in Thailand in November. Malaysia will get the new City either March or April of next year.

As for the Civic question, no facelift on the horizon yet.
