just wanna give some preview about mrsm
hope it will help you later to choose where to go..

there is something about mrsm that i really like,
that what we called 'activity week'
in this week there will be no class at all
it time to enjoy!

there will be a lot of activity/competition such as
+drama
+theater
+sport day
+60's night (really like this)
+many more la..

this activity depend on the BWP/SRC (badan wakil pelajar/student representative) there will election day for this people..
if there are good..they surely can managed a great events.

owh..one more thing,there will be inter-mrsm competition..
such as
+drama/theater (there will be audition)
+nadwah islamiyah (nasyid and so on)
+sports
+rekacipta/inventing

if you be the school representative
first you got elaun for each day you be away..
second you can go to many places..
i almost go to all part of malaysia becouse of this,hahaha..

student from mrsm sarawak and sabah are very lucky..

Same thing la happens everywhere. Its up to the individual really and thats what matters.

Anyways most likely this thread is moving towards the PMR batch of 2009 already, the PMR batch of 2008 already got in.

im not sure how the current situation is, but last time back in 2000, if you applied for both and got excellent results in PMR, sure got offered by SBP first. Say bye2 to mrsm lah. Unless SBP didnt choose you, then u stand the chance to go to mrsm.

both sbp and mrsm also have pros and cons. just go if you are accepted and experience it! Teaching is excellent though in SBP.

i flipped through all the pages and based on the posts that've been posted, i could see that those products from mrsm would say mrsm is ways better than sbp and sbp graduates would say both mrsm and sbp are good..i cud see here if mrsm students would narrowed their mind by saying only mrsm is good..

as i noticed, both mrsm and sbp are good in their ways..we cannot compare since we are not experiencing schooling in both school..so how can we compare then..am i right people?

i do have a friend who finished her boarding school (i mean sbp), she managed to get scholarship or sponsorship from mara, doing IB too,and currently she is taking her degree,bachelor in medicine in royal college of surgeon,dublin,ireland ..so for sbp students, they are also capable of applying scholars from jpa, mara or even petronas. not only mrsm students are meant for mara scholarship right? it depends on one's luck and also the way you manage to guide yourself to achive what you want.

me neither mrsm nor sbp..but i did received an offer letter to a boarding school,a well-known sbp though when i finished my upsr once upon a time ago..but i didnt go since im a homelover(u cannot blame the school since im the one who is having problems here..hahha )..but kinda interested to know more about this boarding schools..i would say i do regret for not accepting the offer since years passed by, the school that i supposed to enroll myself did well in their academics and cocurricular activities (based on what is see in tv and newspapers)..amazed by that.

ok for the newbies, i would suggest if u get an offer to further your secondary at a boarding school, you should accept it because it is a great exposure there i guess based on what i heard and saw from my friends around me. they do well in their future undertakings.

fyi, at my current company (a well-known telecommunication commision located in cyberjaya)..most of the head of departments were coming from those famous sbp i.e MCKK, TKC and any other sbp that i might not very familiar with since im not an ex-sbp..so grab the chance if you do have all what it takes to be a boarding school's student..

mrsm beseri was pkp..? what happend then?

MRSM in Kelantan or Terengganu or Penang would be great. SPM papers coming out HOT! from those areas.

MRSM alor gajah also is the best . i heard that alor gajah's MRSM is top-10 in malaysia . in the 4th place i guess. i am a former pmr candidate 2009 . i applied for mrsm and i am really hoping to go to mrsm . im scared to get the results thou . ngeee~ . I heard that one of the qualification to mrsm is also based on mid-year examinations. is it true?

sms muar stated? well, i have question(s) maybe...i've been offered to SMS Muar and MRSM Kubang Pasu...now im in d middle of nowhere...i dunno which one is better n which one should i choose...both great wth same spm's grade..my parents recommended me to choose MRSM but i dun feel my heart there..im more prefering muar..so, my parentz allow me to go wth my trget but the problem is , what will happen to my future? can i still gt sponsor?? i heard that once i reject MARA, i wont be able to gt their sponsor one day..nowadays i also heard tht the JPA seems quite trouble and this mkes me more confuse to choose either one..*im in a black n white conds..really need help*
