Btw it still have the pinkish band problem, so i dont think it is time to get it.even gogo2 also havent...
Moreover, i doesnt own any camera...should i go for F100fd or straight A200?

wahh.. iso800 seems very nice...

1600 not nice...but even A200 iso 1600 not usable 

If somehow the camera I bought has the pink band problem, am I entitled to warranty claim?
Or need to wait forever for the firmware update...

do we confirm that by using the camera LCD screen? or we bring home the memory card & verify with computer screen? what if when we return to the shop they give us another unit ? 

sorry as i'm very noob in photography... just recently learnt that this F100FD model is indeed much superior in its category & very interested in it...
still possesing a Ixus v2 (yes... ancient 2MP   and a konica minolta dimage X60)

Few questions & hope experts can answer:

1) the pink band issue... issit mean all F100FD are affected or limited to certin batches?
2) how do we know where is it being manufactured? issit engraved on the camera body?
3) i also read the firmware thingy... how do we know which firmware a camera is using? can it be updated after we purchased & using it? issit chargable if we sent it back for firmware update?

Fujiflm here replied to one of the f100fd user in Hongkong that a new firmware of vers.1:02 on will be available on 7th of May 2008 world wide to fix the pink/purpls noise band issue.

i just bought this model on 7/5 from shangri-la..black colour one..made in china..the pink band problem still not yet fix..sad
and another problem is that whenever u use flash to take photo right,the lcd will darken awhile for 2sec around after u snap the photo..does anyone here encounter this problem?

oh i see..eh bro u also own f100fd right?how u found about it?have u upgraded the firmware?how was it?any improvement?

Hi guys , i'm going to get my 1st digital cam ..After done some reading and research , i think i will go for Fuji although its not really hot or well-known brand in m'sia but its well recommended by LYN ppl here ..

Is it really worth to get the f100fd over the f50fd ? From the retail price pricing , its only Rm 200 differences , i don mind to top-up the Rm 200 if its more worthwhile.. By the way , is it not ok to get the f47fd ? The price are seems right for me currently or i should saved up the $$ to get f50fd or maybe f100fd ..

Lastly , how's the quality built for fuji cam compare to other brands ? I not sure about the normal life span for a digital cam , i'm expecting maybe 3-4 yrs ..Would that be possible ?

f40fd is already replaced by the f47fd right ? F47fd also able performe well in low-light condition , at least better than compatible rival ?
I might consider to get f47fd 1st to test out how good is fujifilm product and sustain condition ..did u think that's a good idea ?

Updates bout tis cam lor, good or bad news? Like now, since onli certain places in Msia selling it, so will other shops b selling new batches vry soon without the pink band prob/other probs? Was thinking if Fuji is "fixing" all the cams still at factory, dats y onli certain shops selling it. Even now, some of those dat updated wit latest firmware still facing pink band prob. I juz waiting now but getting impatient like some of u guys so juz ask if any update.

U buy 1st la, since u promote tis cam so much, so much more than the Fuji salesperson la  . Then u write a detailed review if possible.

Oh , when is the f110fd gonna release to public ? If not mistaken , f100fd now jst on heat .. I don think it'll come out a new model in short period , at least 5- 8 months .. right ?

CCD and lense , which is more important ?

Of coz la , if u're starting to touch on higher end camera rather than PnS .. Is it among all the brand and model of PnS which is the same level , its about the same ?
Wat the use for IS ? Wat i know is that , when come to low-light condition , u need a high ISO and long exposure to capture movement object  . Where comes to outdoor activity , we need to set to "Spot mode" in order take movement object .. So wat's a IS ?

i have this PnS camera as my backup to places where i can't bring my SLR. as a PnS, i dont expect IQ anywhere near SLR, but this camera is probably the best PnS i've ever had (after Panasonic FZ2, TZ3, FX7, FX9, Minolta Xi, Canon iXUS something -- forgotten). some sample here from my flickr:

its amazing that lots of people are not aware just how good this f100fd is :-) lots of people asked me, why i buy fuji... i just told them to read up the reviews in the internet, so far ALL professional reviewers are amazed by it.

for a PnS, it has been a great sidekick to my a350.

anyone knows best price for f100fd now?
