sherren, i have the Tamron (now in hospital) and I did test the Sigma a bit and some how i just FEEL that the Sigma is better.

but then as you can see from my shots, the Tamron 70-300 isn't a bad lens for its price.
*
I see what happen to your tamron blink.gif shocking.gif hmm.gif , o why is the sigma feels better? hmm.gif

I will get my 580 EX II on 6/2/2008

I'm flying there tomorrow morning flight. ~15+ hours of flight time. (not adding transit etc) and I'll have a "special" "welcome to the USA, please step into the Homeland Security Office to have some coffee" welcome :-)

Sheren : Can you show me some pics of the difference between the lambency and the gary fong of your brothers? I want to know if I can skimp on the USD39.95 price for a GF lightsphere. (TheVOIP says GF much better)

Guys..  which one will fit the 580 EX II ah?? (as in the Gary Fong lah..) And Cloud or Clear??

Now, if you will excuse me, I need to go shave for the "welcoming" event
*
i will recommend you as well to get Gary Fong's Lightsphere thumbup.gif

hello guys, can i know what is the proper way for changing lens? so tt less dust get into the lens and sensor.
*
The best is point ur body downwards, when u wanna change lens use ur left hand to take out the current lens on the body, on your right hand be hold the other lens standby then just masuk in when u take off the current lens on the body itself, then quickly take the cap and close the rear cap of the lens u took it out . that's the 1st reason you gave when people ask.

is that the best reason you can come up with?

did you know that some reports found that the Sigma 70-300 is the best among low-end tele and the Canon ranks around middle / back of the few lenses compared?

anyway my point is. warranty issue is just 1 factor and you're probably the first I've ever come by to tell someone to get a lens just because of warranty issue. c'mon la, there's other issues like build quality and output quality. smile.gif

anyway I've no problem recommending the Sigma 70-300 and Tamron 70-300. they're good low-end tele lenses.
*
Don't know i heard from some people sweat.gif sweat.gif rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

i know i had a look on the sigma 70-300 i can say its very good as well just that it keeps making me rclxub.gif lol Dilemma rclxub.gif

btw the shutter speed and aperture is like a sea saw?

i heard before they say
aperture big , shutter speed [ ........]?
