Yes In any case, congrats on getting the new toys. Please update the above thread with the details. BTW, does the Nissin work as a slave for the 580 EX II? QUOTE(yikyeou @ Feb 28 2008, 11:40 PM) photography is a very expensive hobby! ahhh!!!! its like that lah wish list/shopping list : -flash gun -kit lens replacement -tripod -bag -battery grip -telelens -wideangle lens. all this cost a car already!!! wonder when i can have all of above stuff. 1 thing want to ask, i buy a flash and play with the kit lens or i buy a kit lens replacement, the tammy f2.8 17-50 is better? both also 1k + QUOTE(julchin_09 @ Feb 29 2008, 01:49 AM) Yes. Everyone wanting to take the plunge should know this first. Its not about getting camera and kit lens only. Which I've seen in many families. yeah The accessories and add-ons will cost a bomb. If you want to, it CAN COST a house. QUOTE(goldfries @ Feb 29 2008, 02:00 AM) how much is a bomb ah? yea , i remembered before i jumped into photography i was spending alot on computers actually camera look expensive only but actually cheaper than handphones, PDA, PPC, notebooks, computers, cars, blablabbalabl. strange thing is that while people spend so much on pets, sports, home theatre and all stuff but camera......"aiyah why you spend so much ah?" to me is quite fine now on my investment on a camera QUOTE(R a D ! c 4 L @ Feb 29 2008, 02:41 AM) yeah i do heard from some people " aiya its just a camera, Why spend so much? better buy sumthin else ma" |

QUOTE(julchin_09 @ Feb 29 2008, 04:47 AM) For me its just weird that some people buy a EOS DSLR 18-55 kit then don't invest anymore. One of my neighbours is a doctor. He just uses it to take pics of his flowers and plants. No macro or any other lenses. lol we have this alot in other schools Also, there is always the occasion which happened to me when a lady walked up to me asking me about my 70-200. She asked if her kit lens can take pics like my lens.... I was speechless at first. But had to tell her that she had to invest on other lenses especially for the event which we were in.... Japan GT. Maybe they don't really appreciate photography or are not knowledgeable enuf. Thinking having a DSLR (Pro Cam) is good enuf for taking pictures in any situation. @Goldfries I would put that figure at less than RM10k.... their current camera is a compact This post has been edited by sherren: Feb 29 2008, 05:48 AM |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Feb 29 2008, 05:27 PM) I'll be joining you guys soon, paid deposit for a used set of 350D. That's not mine actually but it is for my sister and her husband, but I still can play with it sometimes. The package I bought includes of Canon EOS 350D together with its accessories, Canon 18-55mm f3.5-5.6 kitlens and Canon 50mm F1.8, 2GB CF and blower. All this for RM 1765. Canon EOS 350D+Accessories+ Kitlens+ 2GB CF = RM 1500 Canon 50mm F1.8 (3 months old) = RM 250 Blower (New) = RM 15 Total = RM 1765 The camera and the accessories are out of warranty but very good condition as viewed from the pictures shown by the seller. Is the total amount worth for all them? I hope yes. I am a super noob beginner for DSLR, know nothing about DSLR, I hope I have more chance to explore the DSLR. |

QUOTE(yikyeou @ Mar 2 2008, 01:50 AM) cool. i might be getting this. not necessary sometimes we use it as fill in flash to fill up those shadows but i think flash photography is hard. i love natural lighting, but sometimes where natural lighting cannot be taken like a on a dark alley or some where dark. flash is really needed. |
