Got my Nissin Di622 on Saturday. Superb (compared to the cheap/built-in flash) for a sub Rm500 flash!

Yes. Everyone wanting to take the plunge should know this first. Its not about getting camera and kit lens only. Which I've seen in many families.

The accessories and add-ons will cost a bomb. If you want to, it CAN COST a house.

actually camera look expensive only but actually cheaper than handphones, PDA, PPC, notebooks, computers, cars, blablabbalabl.

For me its just weird that some people buy a EOS DSLR 18-55 kit then don't invest anymore. One of my neighbours is a doctor. He just uses it to take pics of his flowers and plants. No macro or any other lenses.

Also, there is always the occasion which happened to me when a lady walked up to me asking me about my 70-200. She asked if her kit lens can take pics like my lens.... I was speechless at first. But had to tell her that she had to invest on other lenses especially for the event which we were in.... Japan GT.

Maybe they don't really appreciate photography or are not knowledgeable enuf. Thinking having a DSLR (Pro Cam) is good enuf for taking pictures in any situation.

yeah yeah. my school photography club all using kit lens. with built in flash. =D since long ago. my friends' dad too who uses a kit lens on his 350d till now.

I'll be joining you guys soon, paid deposit for a used set of 350D. That's not mine actually but it is for my sister and her husband, but I still can play with it sometimes. Can't wait to Sunday because I will cod with the seller that day.

The package I bought includes of Canon EOS 350D together with its accessories, Canon 18-55mm f3.5-5.6 kitlens and Canon 50mm F1.8, 2GB CF and blower. All this for RM 1765.

Canon EOS 350D+Accessories+ Kitlens+ 2GB CF = RM 1500
Canon 50mm F1.8 (3 months old) = RM 250
Blower (New) = RM 15
Total = RM 1765

The camera and the accessories are out of warranty but very good condition as viewed from the pictures shown by the seller. Is the total amount worth for all them? I hope yes.

I am a super noob beginner for DSLR, know nothing about DSLR, I hope I have more chance to explore the DSLR.

but i think flash photography is hard.
i love natural lighting, but sometimes where natural lighting cannot be taken like a on a dark alley or some where dark. flash is really needed.
