QUOTE(arshad @ Jan 24 2008, 01:45 PM) just to let you know ya 17-85 though is a nice lens, but at 17mm the distortion is the worse, other than that is a nice walkaround lens to have. I have been thinking of getting another lens to replace it but cannot find one with the same focal length, mostly is 17-50 or 17-55 haahaha |

But how about people like me who don't have one yet? I mean, I'm still saving to get one of these, so the earliest boleh dapat pun by second half of 2008. Will the 450D be in msia already by then? What price range do u guys think it's gonna be aa? If less than 3k, of course I'll take 450D straight. If not, maybe 400D is enough already, extra dough can spend on better lense. But I do like the features on 450D. Spot metering, bigger lcd, bigger pixel, sd card some more. Live view also not bad. So what do u guys think best for me? 450D or 400D? QUOTE(csrulez @ Jan 24 2008, 03:38 PM) Haha. USM dun cost alot isn't it? Yeah probably they prefer an all rounder lens like the 18-200. But i can see the the image quality from the 55-250mm IS is great. not sure how much USM add to the price, but it does cost more than normal lensQUOTE(arshad @ Jan 24 2008, 03:39 PM) ultrasonic motor, faster and quite autofocusing, dun worry too much about the plastic mount since the lens is light, and the built is pretty good. personally tested it out so it's a good lens for that kind of price, and having IS helps a lot with that kind of zoom range.but you do lost the wide end if u use this lens though since it start at 55mm |

QUOTE(hornetEJ @ Jan 26 2008, 05:42 AM) I don't see anything that starts with 3xxxxx. Are you referring to the lens number? Is there any issue with that? it's either on the side near the mount or on the mount itself, it's a serial number. Those that start with 3xxxxx suppose to be slightly better than the 2xxxxxxQUOTE(derek87 @ Jan 26 2008, 07:23 AM) Anyone knows how much does it cost to set up a mini studio at home? something like two soft boxes and a white background? very interested! haha.. YL is located at Pudu Plaza, it's not far from Times Square actually, I walk there before BTW, where is YL camera located? will have a visit for more poison after my exams are over. =) |

sometimes shoot raw, sometimes shoot jpeg, raw can capture all the detail and you have more option to tweak it later, jpeg tweak too much the image won't look nice anymore
*sigh* everyone got bonus and start buying stuff already, i need to get either a flash or a replacement for my kitlens, 100mm f/2.8 is good, but indoor it's a bit too long sometime |

QUOTE(nairud @ Jan 29 2008, 04:22 PM) you want a cheap flash but almost the same guide number with 430ex and supports ETTL-II, i'd recommend the sunpak flash. only 600+ yeah looking at either third party or canon oneQUOTE(osxchd @ Jan 29 2008, 04:27 PM) brother that's the price diff!!! 2 60mm = 1 65mm... LOL... been using the 100mm as portrait lens, but for indoor with a lot of ppl around quite hard coz of the focal length. my 17-85 not good for indoor most of the time so need the help of flashcan act as a normal potrait lens also... read those review... |
