Wont be buying it since I am a cheapskate and peasant. Will get all the BDs and return the BDP1400 after a month of review. Sometimes, this fella tends to forget abt the player.

Dont believe? Ask ar188 as there were 2 loaned DVDP that could upscale via component left uncollected. LOL!

You mean RX-V1800? Oh yes, got lubang for Panasonic BD30. RM1,750 per unit. Only 2 units and promo ends this Sat.

Going to setup the rear surround this weekend. Didnt realise I have a pair of cheapo surr spkrs at my parents home. Temporary use this while saving $$$ to buy a pair decent surround speakers.

Coda is good. Just that I need another pair for my rear surround to complete my 7.1 setup. Coda being assigned as surr speakers.

I let the YPAO to do the setting since I havent complete my system yet as I am looking for suitable rear surr spkrs.

My HM accidentally tripped on my coffee table. My HD65 fell onto the carpeted floor. Luckily, it didnt spoil it. Else......

Cant hang it on ceiling due to certain problem. Have thought abt that b4. Now, need to think of a way to prevent this incident from happening again.

The ceiling aint sturdy enough to have a pj mounted. Thought of that too. Now, must banned HM from crossing the coffee table. Only couch area.

The pj side is dented. Post the pic later.

At the mean time, will install clamps with sponge at the coffee table. If trip also the pj only knocks the side and wont fall.

Yesterday, went to a HT member pad. Fuyoo, using velo SPL-1200 with full B&W 700 series speakers (7 channels). Powered by AVR-3806 and Rotel mutli-channel power amp and a 2 channel power amp. Very nice room. The center channel is a bit lacking in terms of vocal reproduction. Very impressed with surround dispersion and the low thumping Velo SPL.

moviebuff, some BDs are not encoded with Dolby TrueHD. Which Sharp model that you are using? The BDHP-20A?

Dont think so. Either PCM or bitstream for all codecs.

That's really strange. I assume that you had set the audio setting as bitstream in BDHP-20A since RX-V1800 lit up DTS HD MSTR but not Dolby TrueHD. Do you have any other BD with Dolby TrueHD encoded? Same result?

What is your current front speakers? Your budget?

Since you have Rega spkr, Rega R Vox center will be perfect match. But, it will be way above your budget. For me, I would save enough to get the Rega center to have timbre matching.

If not, try to get some Brit center spkr then. Monitor Audio BR LCR is one of the choices and it is slightly below RM1K. rated at 90dB, pwr handling at 120W and 6 ohm, it is not difficult to drive
